Dissolve. Transform. Recombine.**\n\n**A Dead Good Festival Event**\n\n**Friday 30th October** \n**10:00am–11:30pm** \n**Smith & Sun, 7 Thanet Road, Margate, CT9 1UA**\n\n** £22**\n\n#### **What if the Tarot is a map of the Great Work?**\n\nFor centuries, alchemists sought the ultimate transformation: the **Philosopher’s Stone** , the mysterious substance capable of turning base matter into gold.\n\nBut alchemy wasn't only concerned with transforming metals.\n\nIt was also concerned with transforming **the self**.\n\nJoin **Hannah Joy Graves aka Cult Mother** for an intriguing journey into the hidden relationship between **Alchemy, Hermeticism and the Tarot**.\n\nTogether, we'll explore the history of alchemy and its influence on the esoteric traditions that shaped many of the tarot decks we know today.\n\nWe'll journey between the **macrocosm and the microcosm** — the universe above and the human being below — and ask whether the Tarot itself can be understood as a map of transformation.\n\nCould the cards represent the stages of **The Great Work**?\n\nCould The Fool's journey be an alchemical journey?\n\nAnd what might the Tarot have to tell us about our own process of dissolution, destruction, transformation and rebirth?\n\nWe'll explore the mysterious stages of the alchemical process:\n\n**Calcination → Dissolution → Separation → Conjunction → Putrefaction → Distillation → Coagulation**\n\nFrom breaking things down to putting them back together in an entirely new form.\n\n**Solve et coagula.**\n\nDissolve what no longer serves you. \nSeparate the essential from the unnecessary. \nTransform. \nRecombine.\n\nThis class will add another fascinating layer to your understanding of the Tarot — revealing connections between the cards, Hermetic philosophy, alchemical symbolism and the eternal human desire to **turn lead into gold**.\n\nYou can read [our ticket terms and conditions](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZSdrUX0V00eRRVd_brA3aKdIZYJ0307f5qk2icIuSdE/edit?tab=t.0) here. \n\n### MEET YOUR GUIDE\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/12/07/10/22/f46bb3b3-9f55-4393-a389-6695717c56c4/68c0956f-bf34-43a9-a406-cf888d4e5024.jpeg)\n\n### HANNAH JOY GRAVES\n\nThe force behind **Cult Mother** , Hannah Joy Graves is more than a tarot reader — she's a **witch revolutionary**.\n\nA modern mystic with a punk-rock soul, Hannah combines deep esoteric knowledge with warmth, humour, fierce intuition and a delicious disregard for convention.\n\nKnown as the **Enfant Terrible of Esoterica** , she doesn't simply read the cards — she electrifies them, bringing wit, wisdom and an unfiltered human perspective to tarot.\n\nThrough her readings, classes and thriving online community **The Cult** , Hannah encourages seekers to move headfirst into their own magic, embracing both the mystery and messiness of life.\n\nHer work explores tarot, shadow work, revelation, transformation and the everyday chaos of being human.\n\n**The Cult is for the curious, the wild-hearted and those who refuse to colour inside the lines.**\n\nCome prepared to look at Tarot differently.\n\nCome prepared to get your hands dirty.\n\n**The Great Work awaits.**\n\n[**@cultmothertarot**](https://www.instagram.com/cultmothertarot/)\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/22/18/38/24/dbaafc28-c115-4d04-aeff-698518957209/94371a81-6d14-425c-a3b1-ed1eea17225f.jpeg)\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/22/18/38/33/6457bc54-6e7f-4d64-9052-d98de00c1e70/ce42ddbc-e058-4954-b98c-92d7773a7548.jpeg)\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/22/18/38/45/082166d4-2548-4f00-87c3-b48ef835fbad/69916362-9c61-4d6d-a608-2ef8428f801a.jpeg)",
