"description": "### A day to explore our relationship with food, nourishment and the world that sustains us.\n\n_ **Dreamed with chef** _ [_ **Kate Munro Boot** _](https://www.instagram.com/katemunroboot/) _ **& doctor ** _[_ **Rhiannon Day-Thompson** _](https://www.instagram.com/dr.rhiannon.dt/)\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/30/20/20/34/6a6aa983-2945-4b84-b4c0-416560a9284b/reclaimingfood-hosts.jpg)\n\n \n\n**What might it look like to reclaim our relationship with food?**\n\nFood is one of our most intimate relationships.\n\nIt nourishes us, connects us to land and season, carries memories and traditions and brings us together around the table.\n\nYet, in a society that so often favours convenience over relationship, addiction over health, we have become disconnected from where it comes from, who grows it and the wider systems that bring it to our tables.\n\nReclaiming Food is an invitation to explore food as nourishment, as pleasure, as medicine.\n\n**What if our relationship with food is vital to remembering that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves?**\n\n \n\n### What to expect\n\nWe will take time to arrive & land in the intentional space that is Cabilla Cornwall.\n\nThroughout our time together, we will explore two different workshops & enjoy the space in between - think herbal teas, delicious food. A time to pause, to talk, to rest.\n\n \n\n**Through produce, pleasure & energy**\n\nIn this sensory and nourishing exploration, **Kate** will invite us to reconnect with food itself.\n\nThrough taste, texture, nourishment and pleasure, we will explore our relationship with the food in front of us and the energy it carries.\n\nThis is an invitation to rediscover food as something alive, pleasurable and relational.\n\n \n\n**Through nutrition, interoception & the living body**\n\nDrawing on medicine, anthropology and her work around food, the microbiome and our relationship with the natural world, **Rhiannon** will explore interoception, our ability to sense what is happening within us, and how hunger, satiety, energy and cravings can guide our relationship with nourishment. \n\nShe will consider how our modern food environment, including ultra-processed foods, can disrupt these signals, and invite us to become curious about what our bodies are asking for. A return to food not through rules or restriction, but through relationship, awareness and trust.\n\n \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/30/20/22/42/628ddba4-381e-4145-b8c4-1027878f8d2d/reclaimingfood-event.jpg)\n\n### \n\n* * *\n\n### About Reclaiming\n\nReclaiming is a growing series of gatherings exploring the relationships that shape our lives.\n\nEach gathering offers a different thread, inviting us to explore our relationship with ourselves, one another and the living world through practices, conversation and shared experience.\n\n**Attend one gathering or join us for the wider journey.**\n\nReclaiming Food is the first of three gatherings exploring **Food, Voice & Body**.",
