"description": "# Discover your Inner Village\n\nA two-day Introduction to Fool Expression\n\n### \n\nEvery one of us carries an Inner Village.\n\nA living community of different voices, qualities, longings, fears, protectors and forgotten possibilities. Some of these parts feel familiar and easy to access. Others have been hidden, silenced or are simply waiting for the right conditions to emerge.\n\nFool Expression is an invitation to begin meeting this inner community through embodied play, movement, presence and authentic expression.\n\nThis Level 1 weekend is the beginning of that journey. It is designed for anyone who is curious to know themselves more deeply—not by analysing themselves, but by experiencing themselves.\n\n \n\n### **A Different Way of Meeting Yourself**\n\nRather than trying to change who we are, Fool Expression invites us to become more intimate with the many aspects that already live within us.\n\nTogether we create a safe and playful space where these different presences can gradually reveal themselves. Some may already feel familiar. Others may have been forgotten, pushed aside or never fully welcomed.\n\nAs our relationship with these inner landscapes deepens, more of who we are gradually becomes available.\n\nWe begin to recognise that every part of us carries its own intelligence, vitality and way of seeing the world. Rather than trying to fix, overcome or use these parts, we learn to meet them with curiosity, allowing them to reveal more of themselves in their own time.\n\nAs we become more fluent with the diversity within us, experiences that once felt overwhelming or confusing become easier to stay with.\n\nWe discover that there is also a place in the middle of it all—a place that is not caught inside any one part.\n\nFrom here, we gradually develop the freedom to recognise where we are, to move between different aspects of ourselves, and to respond with greater choice, presence and creativity.\n\n \n\n### The Fool\n\nIn this practice, the Fool is not someone who performs or entertains.\n\nThe Fool is the part of us that remains curious.\n\nIt is willing to step into the unknown without needing to know who it has to be.\n\nIt welcomes every aspect of ourselves with openness rather than judgement.\n\nThe Fool can move from one presence to another, allowing each to be fully embodied before gently stepping aside for whatever wishes to emerge next.\n\nOver time this brings greater flexibility, authenticity and inner freedom.\n\n \n\n### The Practice\n\nThis work is deeply embodied.\n\nWe slow down enough to notice what is alive in the present moment, staying with our experience long enough for it to unfold and reveal more of itself.\n\nThrough movement, Voice Dialogue, witnessing, embodied exploration and the support of the group, our Inner Village gradually becomes more tangible.\n\nAgain and again we discover that what seems deeply personal is also profoundly shared.\n\nAs one person courageously explores their inner world, something begins to move in everyone else too.\n\nIn this way, the group becomes more than a collection of individuals.\n\nIt becomes a living field of learning, belonging and transformation.\n\n### \n\n### During this Weekend you will learn to:\n\n- establish a grounded and regulated connection with yourself \n- begin recognising the different voices and qualities within your Inner Village \n- embody and express these different aspects safely and naturally \n- become more comfortable being seen by others \n- stay with unfamiliar experiences with greater curiosity and support \n- discover play as a pathway into authenticity, creativity and transformation \n- cultivate a deeper sense of belonging within yourself and with others\n\n### \n\n### You will leave with:\n\n- a stronger sense of home within yourself \n- practical embodied tools to support your everyday life \n- a more compassionate relationship with different parts of yourself \n- a richer and more diverse Inner Village \n- greater freedom, vitality and creativity \n- more ease in expressing yourself authentically \n- nourishing human connection \n- renewed trust in your own unfolding\n\n \n\n### Who is this Weekend for?\n\nYou might be:\n\n- curious about personal growth and embodied spirituality \n- a therapist, coach or facilitator wishing to deepen your practice \n- an artist wanting to discover new sources of authentic expression \n- a parent wanting more space for the many experiences within you \n- navigating a life transition and wondering what wants to emerge next \n- longing for a more compassionate relationship with yourself \n- simply wanting to feel more alive, connected and at home within yourself\n\nNo previous experience is needed.\n\nOnly curiosity and a willingness to explore.\n\n \n\n### Foundations of the Practice\n\nFool Expression has grown through many years of exploring different ways of understanding ourselves, relating to one another and participating more fully in life.\n\nIt is rooted in the Fool lineage developed by Franki Anderson and deeply informed by Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves.\n\nIt is also influenced by trauma-informed practice, Body-Informed Leadership, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Focusing, Authentic Movement, nature-based mentoring and embodied group facilitation.\n\nThese different streams come together to create a practice that is relational, creative and deeply human.\n\n### \n\n### Continuing the Journey\n\nLevel 1 introduces the landscape of your Inner Village and offers the foundations for building a rich and ongoing relationship with it.\n\nFor those who wish to continue, Level 2 deepens this relationship, allowing the many resources within your Inner Village to become more embodied, more available and more alive in everyday life.\n\nLevel 3 then explores how our inner worlds become visible through embodied constellation, revealing new perspectives and possibilities for ourselves and one another.\n\nEach level stands alone, while also forming part of a coherent journey.\n\nMore info: www.christieanimas.com\n\n \n\n \n\n\"_ **Every time I met with the unknown I was surprised, delighted and had a great sense of relief. For me the unknown has always been a frightening dark abyss, yet just with this intro weekend and stepping into the unknown a few times, my perspective has greatly shifted. It's still scary, yes, but instead of a dark, frightening abyss there are now so many different shades and hues to discover. Going through this process has been like a mirror for my life... Thank you for revealing and sharing this path.** _\"\n\n— **Louise Littera** , Home Educator\n\n \n\n### \n\n### Practicalities\n\n**Time** \nSaturday & Sunday, Saturday 2pm to 8pm, Sunday 10am to 6pm\n\n**Bring** \nLunch to share, indoors shoes, loose clothes, a cushion and a blanket or yoga mat to lie on.\n\n**Venue**\n\n64-84 Chisenhale Rd, Bow, London E3 5QZ, United Kingdom\n\n**Bring** : food for yourself for the Saturday evening and food to share for Sunday lunch.\n\n \n\nIf you would like to explore first working 1 2 1 with Christie, you can read about[the Voice Dialogue practice here.](https://christieanimas.com/voice-dialogue-2/?doing_wp_cron=1784801802.5077979564666748046875)\n\n \n\n \n\n## Your Facilitator\n\n### Christie Animas\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2023/01/09/12/50/31/8e1e05f9-766e-411a-8736-bc6691477b40/sam 400px (2).png)\n\nChristie Animas is the creator of Fool Expression, an evolving practice that weaves together Voice Dialogue, Fooling, embodiment, psychology, improvisation and community practice.\n\nFor over a decade she has been facilitating workshops across the UK and Europe, creating spaces where people can explore the many voices of their Inner Village with curiosity, play and compassion.\n\nOriginally trained in Occupational Therapy and specialising in Child Psychiatry, Christie later trained in Voice Dialogue, the Fooling practice with Franki Anderson, Body-Informed Leadership and a range of embodied and relational approaches.\n\nHer work is deeply influenced by nature, community, creativity and years of exploring what helps people feel more fully alive, authentic and connected.\n\nParticipants often describe her facilitation as gentle, playful, deeply attuned and surprisingly transformative.\n\n[Watch a video about what people say about Christie's Facilitation here.](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C9guZFbGHYA)\n\n \n\n### \n\n### If this work speaks to you … \n\nNot everyone feels ready to join a workshop straight away.\n\nIf something here resonates but you'd prefer to begin more gently, there are other ways we can explore together.\n\nYou might like to[book a free 15-minute introductory chat to ask questions](https://calendly.com/contact-3529/15min), explore whether this work is right for you, or discover which offering would support you best.\n\nIf you're looking for more personalised support, you can also explore [one-to-one Voice Dialogue sessions](https://christieanimas.com/voice-dialogue-2/?doing_wp_cron=1784801802.5077979564666748046875), where we meet the different voices and dynamics within your Inner Village at your own pace.\n\nWatch [short videos and guided reflections](https://www.youtube.com/@christieanimas9636/shorts) on youtube.\n\nAnd if now isn't the right time, you're warmly welcome to join my [newsletter](https://christieanimas.com/?doing_wp_cron=1784802418.8094251155853271484375) and hear about future workshops, articles and resources.\n\n \n\n### Feedback from previous sessions\n\nWhat participants have shared\n\n \n\n\\> \"The strongest, gentlest, warmest space I've ever experienced.
