"description": "We will go on an embodied journey to build our relationship with three of nature's gifts: Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane & Reishi combined with ritual and somatic practices designed to attune to the very nature of these incredible fungi. We will gather surrounded by rolling hills and rare grass chalkland in the heart of one of the south downs most important rewilding projects. \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/03/29/14/27/43/67aa49eb-3c13-468f-9f18-8246f0ee5582/IMG_7197.jpg)\n_The Club House view, South Downs_\n\n**What are functional mushrooms?**\n\nFunctional mushrooms help to support the different systems in the body related to immunity, stress, sleep, and cognition. They provide benefits that go beyond basic nutrition and caloric value. \n\n \n\n**Why this way?**\n\nWe live in challenging times, our bodies hijacked by constant stimulation and overwhelm, our minds distracted from the present moment, our values being shaped by individualistic and extractivist culture to consume to survive. We want to offer an antidote into the world that allows us to reconnect, to embody and to build relationships. With ourselves, with our community and with these incredible healing fungi.\n\nFinding harmony and opening our bodies to feel more. Increasing our capacity to unlock the true potential of ourselves and the power of functional mushrooms. \n \n\nWe aim to support you to….\n\n- Connect to rhythms of nature\n- Relieve stress\n- Detox from tech\n- Make meaning from your experience\n- Release blocks & tension\n- Develop internal clarity\n- Intentionally reconnect\n\n**What You’ll Experience**\n\nThis workshop is a journey which will flow between in-depth bio-medical and spiritual knowledge and guided practices and ritual to support the unfolding path.\n\n \n\nYou will take part in: \n\n- Cordyceps tea ritual combined with an Expansive Breathwork session\n - Expanding consciousness\n - Boosting stamina and alertness\n\n- Mindful Lion’s Mane lunch and walking meditation in spectacular countryside - this is a great way to connect with the mushroom itself in a culinary way. The flavour and texture of Lion's Mane is highly sought after, often reminding people of seafood, and participants will have the opportunity to experience the gourmet qualities that this fungus has to offer. We will be joining together in eating a meal prepared with love and care to showcase the wonderfully unique taste of Lion's Mane!\n - Social mycelium\n - Clarity and coherence\n\n- Reishi Cacao ceremony combined with downregulating guided breathing meditation\n - Rest and calm\n - Integration\n\n- Teaching on the folk lore, medicinal properties and benefits of each fungi\n- Journalling prompts and sharing circle\n- Connection to body, fungi and community\n\nYou don’t need prior experience or knowledge, however, if you are already engaged with these medicines we hope to deepen the relationality, and therefore the depth of how they interact with you.\n\n \n\n**Is it safe?**\n\nYes, However we ask that everyone completes a health questionnaire so that we can support your unique journey and adapt it where necessary.\n\n**How to join**\n\nRegister and choose your exchange tier to join. Once registered you will receive:\n\n- A welcome letter\n - What to bring\n - Preparation guidance\n - Health questionnaire\n - Location\n - Link to a Signal Group \n \n\n**About the facilitators**\n\n_ **Oli Genn-Bash - The Fungi Consultant** _\n\nOli Genn-Bash is a UK-based writer, educator, and cultural practitioner working at the intersection of functional mushrooms, mycotherapy, psychedelics, and contemporary wellness culture. His work sits between research, lived experience, and creative practice, with a focus on education and the responsible development of psychedelic and mushroom spaces.\n\nHe has several years’ experience researching and teaching the therapeutic potential of medicinal and functional mushrooms, including Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps, Turkey Tail, and Chaga. He is the creator and lead educator of multi-month mycotherapy training programmes, including practitioner-level courses for clinicians and prescribing professionals in the UK and Southern Africa. He teaches on the Microdose For Healing course, exploring the role of functional mushrooms in wellbeing and recovery, as well as facilitating a 5-week long biohacking with mushrooms course in collaboration with The Psychedelic Society.\n\n _**Liz Lilley (She/Her) - Insight & Integration Therapies**_\n\nLiz is a qualified Psychotherapist, Breathwork Facilitator, Psychedelic Therapist and Bodyworker. She has over 20 years experience working with people in deeply transformational ways through the body, mind and soul. She brings her knowledge of functional and expanded states breathing techniques, years of experience facilitating group spaces supporting safely accessing the body and expanded states for healing and growth purposes.\n\nHer path bridges the exploration of psychedelic clinical research where she is a Lead Therapist and Mentor on studies with psilocybin. Liz is involved in pioneering Breathwork research to evidence non-substance based ways of accessing expanded states of consciousness and the potential health benefits and is a committed student of the Mazatec tradition of mushroom ceremonies.\n\n \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/03/18/21/41/25/c4365fa5-3b4b-4465-a81a-4ffbab4d45aa/oli & liz photo.JPG)\n_Liz & Oli_",
