"description": "### Join Sky Siouki on a guided walk integrating meditative meanders with seeking out wonder in the woodland. An invitation to slow down and reconnect with nature.\n\nFinding little glimmers of inspiration among the trees, we'll photograph, sketch, note, record and share what we find. This is what my practice is all about and every piece of art I create comes from this magical place of awe and curiosity in nature. I want to share with you how I find serenity, presence and creative vision when out on a woodland walk because I believe it is the best medicine for the soul that there is!\n\nCarve out some space for yourself to reconnect with the Earth and find stillness. Discover the power of awe and it's ability to regulate the nervous system. Focusing on breath and the senses we will discover all the ways that the woods can inspire creativity.\n\nWhether you consider yourself an artist, poet, musician or dancer, the ways in which we can gather fuel for our creative inner fires are limitless here. You don't need to be a professional creative of any kind, these walks are for all, but expected to be particularly nourishing for those of us who are neurodivergently gifted. A slow pace and quiet tone will be encouraged, leaving small talk and day to day responsibilities behind, however there will be opportunities to talk to others and hopefully a sense of community to be grown. Through building awareness of our surroundings we will notice how the seasons change and effect us as the months go on and so I hope some of you may like to make these wanders a regular ritual.\n\n**Due to the quiet and meditative nature of the walks, places are available to adults only (age 18+).**\n\n \n\n#### FAQs\n\n \n\n- Where will we meet?\n\n- Please arrive early to allow time for parking and buying a parking ticket.\n\n- Meet next to the trail map and bike racks at the end of the main car park at Leigh Woods: Leigh Woods Parking, Abbots Leigh Road, Bristol, BS8 3QA\n\n \n\n- What should I bring?\n\n- Bring a sketchbook or notebook, pen or pencil and smartphone or camera. Any other materials optional!\n\n- A bottle of water is also advised, and/or a hot beverage can be a nice accompaniment in the colder months.\n\n- If the weather is very wet then a waterproof bag and umbrella is advised to keep sketchbooks and phones/cameras dry.\n\n \n\n- What should I wear?\n\n- Walks will go ahead whatever the weather so please dress suitably for all weathers.\n\n- Please wear suitable footwear for wandering off path, mud is often to be expected!\n\n \n\n- Will the walk go ahead in any weather?\n\n- Yes! With the exception of severe extreme weather warnings. Part of the aim of the woodland wanders is to appreciate what nature can show us in all seasons.\n\n \n\n- What fitness level is required?\n\n- We will be taking plenty of breaks and walking at a slow and steady pace, however please be aware the woods can often be very muddy and we will be wandering off the beaten track. If you are unsteady on your feet then perhaps hiking poles would be helpful.\n\n \n\n- Can children come?\n\n- Unfortunately due to safety concerns and the quiet and meditative nature of the walks, places are currently available to adults only (age 18+).\n\n \n\n- Can I bring a dog?\n\n- Sadly no. As much as I would love to have dogs along, there is a risk that they will be too much of a distraction from the quiet and meditative nature of the walks.",
