Full name: coop.lexicon.draft.retirement
An endorser's statement that an identity is retired: its records are kept but are no versions.
For the commons the endorser is the commons root, and a reader counts one only from the root, at rkey = its subject. A retired identity's records stay cluster members and provenance sources, so a pointer to one still resolves to its curated record, but they are never versions: not composed, ranked or bylined by the curator, not judged or counted by the features rule, not listed by coop.lexicon.draft.commons.getVersions, and a curated record with no other source is not curated for readers. Used for a publisher whose records were re-published under another identity (the old Almanac publisher). Deleting it un-retires the identity. Modeled on coop.lexicon.draft.operator. PUBLIC. Written by the commons root through api.coop's operator procedures (commons.retireIdentity / commons.unretireIdentity); read by the AppView, api.coop, the curator and the features rule.
