"description": "Family & Systemic Constellations – Chepstow\n\nA regular Saturday constellation circle at Stone Rock Lodge in the Wye Valley.\n\n**Saturday 10 October 2026 | 10am–1pm** \n**Saturday 28 November 2026 | 2–5pm**\n\nSometimes something keeps repeating even when we understand it intellectually.\n\nA relationship. A family pattern. A responsibility we keep carrying. A feeling of being stuck. A difficulty finding our place.\n\nFamily & Systemic Constellations widen the lens beyond the individual and explore the larger systems we belong to — family, ancestry, relationships, work, community and place.\n\nRather than only asking _what is wrong with me?_, the work opens up another question:\n\n**What am I part of?**\n\nHeld at Stone Rock Lodge in the Wye Valley, close to the River Wye and surrounded by woodland and countryside, these circles also draw on our relationship with place and the natural world.\n\nNature reminds us that nothing exists in isolation.\n\nRoots, soil, weather, seasons and relationship all matter.\n\nThe same is true of us.\n\n## What happens in constellation work?\n\nFamily & Systemic Constellations is an experiential approach that explores how patterns and experiences within families and other systems may continue to influence our lives, often outside our conscious awareness.\n\nRather than only talking about an issue, we bring it into an experiential space.\n\nPeople from the group may be invited to represent family members, relationships, roles or other elements of a situation, allowing aspects of the wider system to become more visible.\n\nRepresenting is not acting.\n\nIt is a practice of paying attention — to sensation, movement, impulse, emotion, distance and what the body is drawn towards or away from.\n\nThis embodied aspect is where Katie’s constellation work meets her background in yoga. Both ask us to slow down, notice more closely and become curious about what is happening through the body, relationship and the wider environment.\n\n## Ways to take part\n\nThere are opportunities to experience the work both as an **issue holder** and as a **representative**.\n\n**As an issue holder** , you can put your name forward to explore something personal, relational, family or professional.\n\n**As a representative** , you may be invited to take a place within someone else’s constellation. What arises while representing can sometimes have an unexpected resonance with your own relationships, history or experience.\n\nYou can also take part through witnessing and being part of the wider group.\n\nTwo constellations usually take place during each circle.\n\nNo previous experience is needed, and you do not need to arrive with an issue you want to work on.\n\n## The circle\n\nEach three-hour session includes:\n\n- arrival and grounding\n- simple experiential exercises\n- two constellations\n- time for reflection and integration\n- closing together\n\nConstellation work does not always arrive as one dramatic moment.\n\nSometimes the movement is slower: a different response in a relationship, a new understanding, something settling, or a growing sense of what belongs to us — and what does not.\n\n## About Katie\n\nKatie Despres is a Family & Systemic Constellations Facilitator and Senior Yoga Teacher based in Bristol.\n\nShe has worked with Family Constellations for more than ten years and trained extensively with the Centre for Systemic Constellations, including advanced training in Couples & Intimate Relationship Systems.\n\nShe also brings lived experience as a midlife woman, parent and step-parent within a large blended, multi-heritage family system.\n\nHer approach is grounded, relational and embodied, bringing together systemic awareness with many years of yoga and meditation practice.\n\nHer wider work sits under **Relational Practices for Living** — exploring how we are shaped by relationship, body, family, history, place and the systems we belong to.\n\n## Tickets\n\n**£25 Early Bird- Limited** \n**£40 Standard** \n**£30 Concession** \n**Stone Rock Lodge Members** — contact Katie for a discount code\n\nStone Rock Lodge also has a pizza restaurant, bar and wood-fired sauna, so you are welcome to stay on afterwards.\n\nKatie also offers **1:1 and couples Family & Systemic Constellations work**.
