"description": "# 🧘 Yoga Foundations — 6-Week Cycle\n\n_(formerly Yoga for Beginners at Yogasara)_\n\n📍 **St Anne’s House, Brislington (BS4)** \n🗓 **Wednesdays, 6.15–7.15pm** \n🌿 **16 September–21 October 2026**\n\n**A place to begin yoga, and somewhere to keep coming back to.**\n\nAfter ten years of teaching Yoga for Beginners at Yogasara, I’m continuing the course at St Anne’s House with a new structure.\n\nYoga Foundations now runs throughout the year in **six-week cycles, with a break between each one**. You can start as a complete beginner, stay for the next cycle, take a break or come back later.\n\nEach cycle has a different **asana (posture) focus**, while we continue to explore breath, guided meditation and some of the wider teachings and practices of yoga.\n\nThis SEPTEMBER- October cycle focuses on **standing postures, Warriors, balances and more**. The next cycle (Nov- Dec ) explores the postures and transitions of **Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation)**.\n\n### More than the postures\n\nYoga is a vast tradition and there is far more to it than asana. I offer an accessible introduction to some of the practices, principles and traditional maps that I’ve found useful, and explore how yoga can inform everyday life.\n\nI also bring a **systemic lens** to my teaching. Like nature, body, breath, mind, relationships and environment are interconnected. Each part influences the whole.\n\nAnd if you simply want to move, build strength and mobility and learn yoga postures, **you are equally welcome**.\n\n### Why 6-week cycles?\n\nWe learn and practise together, then pause.\n\nThe break gives time for the practice to settle, to integrate what you’ve learned and notice what stays with you before returning.\n\n**Learn. Practise. Integrate. Return.**\n\n### About Katie\n\nI’m **Katie Despres** , a Senior Yoga Teacher with over 1,500 hours of training and a Family & Systemic Constellations Facilitator.\n\nI’ve taught beginners for ten years. My teaching is supportive, practical and down-to-earth, with space to ask questions and understand what you’re doing rather than simply trying to keep up.\n\n### Why St Anne’s House?\n\n• Free on-site parking, including accessible spaces \n• Ground-floor studio with step-free access \n• **Bristol Community Sauna & cold plunge on site** \n• Café and community spaces\n\n### Dates\n\n**16 September–21 October** \nStanding postures, Warriors & Balance\n\n**Next cycle: 4 November–16 December** \nSurya Namaskar- Sun Salutation \n_No class 9 December_\n\n📍 St Anne’s House, BS4 \n🗓 Wednesdays, 6.15–7.15pm\n\n👉 **Book your place — spaces limited**\n\n \n\n###",
