"description": "_Wanna laugh like you haven't since you were a child? Find out what your body can do? Get involved with other people's shapes and forms, in innocent games of intensity? Wanna practice feeling in control of how others meet and engage with you physically? Or just want a fun workout that leaves you in mutual delight and expansion with a group of playmates?_\n\n\\*\\*\\*HEADS-UP! NOVEMBER'S CLASS WILL NOW BE TAKING PLACE ON A THURSDAY\\*\\*\\*\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/06/02/12/36/05/012908e5-2912-4487-9189-c35b25708a4a/WhatsApp Image 2024-11-28 at 5.26.55 PM.jpeg)\n\n**Opportunities can be rare in our world to meet other bodies close-up in ways that aren't sexual, sporting or aggressive; yet most of us can relate to the aliveness of wrangling in this way as children, or watching animals instinctually do the same, and the simple innocence of rough and tumbling…**\n\n**As well as a joyful way to inhabit the body and just being downright harmless good fun- Playfighting can also be a tool for insight, understanding and transformation - in sense-of-self, and in relationships.** Having ‘no-stakes’ offers us permission to explore strength and sensations together as adults, from a place of consent and empowerment. \n\n**Playfighting is for you, whatever you size, age, strength, gender, or level of experience. You direct your own involvement and can choose your level of engagement with any exercise. It is not about technique or muscle - it can be equally as fun to loose as to get points - but it also gives us the opportunity for deep learning about our life strategies in a safe circle of connection.** In the ring we can become aware of the habits and patterns which surface when we perceive competition, and how they can manifest outside of the workshop arena. Ultimately Playfighting can help us notice blind-spots; overcome adversities; make peace; and apply new attitudes as confidence grows.\n\nWhether you have fought before with PlayfightingUK, or informally with friends, or you're just curious to reclaim some playful power and experiment in a safe space; you're welcome to join us, **every first Friday evening of the month**. All sessions include games, some techniques, physical play, conscious competition and energetic catharsis - with plenty of time to spar in a held Playfighting ring. **We'll cover the important foundations of Playfighting; building safety by exploring ways to maintain connection and awareness while in an encounter; as well as skills and techniques for deepening - enabling you to track, explore and enjoy the effects of each game on the psyche.**\n\nPlease note: we need a minimum number of people for the class to go ahead, so please book ahead of time, and do invite your friends! If we don't have a minimum number 48 hours before we're due to run, we'll cancel the session and refund the cost. \n\n\"...I felt challenged and safe the whole time. I was amazed at how quickly connections ran deep with people, and it was a very lighthearted way to learn a lot about myself...” Charlie\n\n\"So Much Fun! ...I haven't laughed so much in ages. Rozi is an enthusiastic, clear and engaging teacher\" Sarah\n\n\"I feel great! Like a gym and playground all rolled into one\" Andrew\n\n\"Really accessible & safe. Despite my health restrictions, I could participate & was supported..... Thx to Rozi for putting on such a breakthrough adventurous safe space. She manges to weave so much fun & play into these beautiful sessions.\" Richard\n\n\"Down to earth and fun but also nourishing and healing and life-giving\"\n\n\"I feel closer to my inner lion-cub as a result and am still 4 days later riding the high from the session. I've been talking about it to people non-stop.\"\n\n\"Great fun. A tonic to the serious job of living... I hooted with laughter, roared with anger and giggled with joy.\"\n\n\"I arrived with my body hurting in a bad way and left with it hurting in a good way!\"\n\n\"Absolutely loved being able to explore my power\"\n\n# YOUR FACILITATOR\n\n### \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2024/02/29/14/14/21/81f8913a-b05a-4600-bc5c-2840a33af6e9/me.jpeg)\n\n**Rozi Hilton:** A multi-skilled facilitator, Rozi holds-space at the intersection of Play and personal-development - teaching embodied awareness and authenticity. She has learned and practiced Playfighting with Frank and Sheila Crux as well as Matteo Tangi and Bruno Caverna; and runs PlayfightingUK - bringing the form to festivals and events all over the country.\n\nRozi is a director of Wild Women Retreats and Catalista Leadership, and runs her own authentic-expression mentoring programmes. Her skills involve poetry, fooling, experience-design and nature connection, and are heavily influenced by the methodologies of Biodanza and Process Work.\n\nShe has a playful family with two rambunctious boys - and lives to enable awareness, acceptance, and connection.
