"description": "Join Toni & Bethan for a magical experience of creating (birthing) your own frame drum and beater.\n\nHeld in the lovely Westonbirt Arboretum, which at this time will be in its full Autumnal hues of red, orange and gold.\n\n**Dates Available: ** \n[Sunday 11th October](https://dandelion.events/e/drumbirthingwestonbirt) - Westonbirt Arboretum, Tetbury, Gloucestershire **(the one you're on!)** \n[Saturday 7th November](https://dandelion.events/e/drumbirthingaveburynovember) - The Henge Shop, Avebury, Wiltshire \nIf you can't make any of the dates above, let us know as we have a waitlist for future dates too.\n\n**Who is this course for?**\n\nDrum birthing is such a wonderful experience. This course is for anyone who wishes to make their own drum and use it to support their wellbeing, for use in circle, or to use in their healing or shamanic practice.\n\nWe were all born with our own internal drum – our heartbeat. We hear the heartbeat of our mother in her womb. Making contact with a drum awakens our sacred, awakens our soul. The beat of the drum represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth herself and hearing or facilitating this “heartbeat” by playing the drum, brings healing and a deeper understanding of your connection with all life.\n\n**What will you do and experience?**\n\nYou will have the opportunity to create your sacred drum and beater (depending on your choice) and be attuned to your drum and explore how the sound of the drum supports your (& others) wellbeing.\n\nThe day will also include guided journeying and meditation to connect with our hoops, hides and drums, and of course, and opportunity to drum together!\n\nThis full day course covers many aspects, and you will learn:\n\n✓ The benefits of drumming, your wellbeing protocol and practise.\n\n✓ Why rest, integration and grounding are so important for your body’s healing process.\n\n✓ How to care for drum and tune your drum.\n\n✓ How intention, imagery and drumming work together.\n\n✓ How to create your own drum and beater.\n\n**Choosing your hoop & hide**\n\nYou have the option of hoop sizes and animal hide depending on what feels drawn to you. When you secure your place, you will be sent a guide with more information to help you make your decision, which will be required by the 28th Sept 2026. The remaining payment will be needed 24 hours before the drum birthing day.\n\nDepending on your hoop/hide choice, total cost is as below (this is inclusive of the £165 deposit):\n\n| | 14\" Birch | 14\" Willow | 16\" Willow | 18\" Ash |\n| Goat or Buffalo | £285 (£165+£120) | £295 (£165+£130) | | £320 (£165+£155) |\n| Deer (stag/doe) | £315 (£165+£150) | £325 (£165+£160) | £345 (£165+£180) | |\n| Horse | £370 (£165+£205) | £380 (£165+£215) | £400 (£165+£235) | |\n\n**Sustainability & Ethics** - the supplier information:\n\nWherever possible, I’ve sourced the hoops and hides from supplier’s whose ethos is ethical and sustainable. Some prepare their own hides, others have imported hides which have a certificate of cleansing.\n\nIf you have any questions then don't hesitate to get in touch with us: \nQuestions regarding the space: [rootedwithbethan@gmail.com](mailto:rootedwithbethan@gmail.com) (Bethan) \nQuestions regarding the drum birthing: [Naturesembrace@btinternet.com](mailto:Naturesembrace@btinternet.com) (Toni)\n\nThank you for trusting us to guide you through this ceremonial birthing of your drum.\n\nWe look forward to working with you.\n\nWarm wishes\n\nBethan and Toni x\n\n🌿 **Rooted | Gatherings inspired by the rhythms of nature** 🌿\n\n[**Browse all my events here**](https://dandelion.events/o/rooted/events) (sound baths, yoga, drumming circles & more) \nInstagram & Facebook: [@rootedwithbethan](https://www.instagram.com/rootedwithbethan/) \nSubscribe to my mailing list [here](https://dandelion.events/o/rooted).",
