This is your identity for the night but… \n \n**Don't fret…** you don't have to know ANYTHING about the card, or act or pretend or improvise, by coming dressed up (as much as you like), and just **being yourself,** you are doing all that is required. If you want to lean in or research then please do, but don't be nervous about your ‘role’, you are already everything you need to be… also… \n \n**Don't worry…** if it seems like you have a ‘negative’ card, the card is not a diagnosis or judgement of you personally, it's a ‘mask’ you are to play at Court by simply being there and doing whatever you do or say, job done! \nEvery card is a doorway, a secret to be learned.\n\n**🎭 The Costume:** **We** _ **strongly invite you** _ to arrive in a costume that reflects your assigned card. How you present yourself is part of your contribution, if dressing up is not your thing, that's fine also, but do give some nod to the card, bring a some small props or items that seem to fit. The Court is a space of transformation; be foolish, be fun, be deep, be dark, be magical, it is your playground to enjoy. \n \n\n### ⚖️ The Economy of '_Your Best Pound_' 💸\n\nWe believe that energy/effort/care is the true currency and that money is simply the conduit 🪙 \nTo ensure this space remains accessible, a space of agency and consent, we reject standard ticket pricing models.\n\n**Your Best Pound** is an evolving system being Championed by the Art is Hungry, Baphomet's Book Club, and a growing cabal of folx who want to change the way we value… value! Be that artistry, products, skills, time, or anything else we exchange!\n\n**Entry is £1.** How much you contribute beyond that is your personal choice, based on:\n\n- The value you feel you receive at the event\n- What you can honestly give without impacting your own quality of life\n- The magic that happens when people invest in something and have the high expectations that go with that\n\nSome of us can pay £33, £56, £78 quid… without worrying, is that you? If so then give that amount when buying your ticket, 'how much?' you say….what you'd normally pay for a night at the theatre, the cinema, the opera; it's _your_ **Best Pound**! And then if the show is really amazing… buy plenty of raffle tickets on the night to give homage to the artists that have created the spectacle for you… and with you!\n\nAnd tip at the bar too, there's more than just pulling a pint that goes into hosting a bar!\n\nThis is our commitment to a better world. By holding this space for your \"Best Pound,\" we prioritize community over capitalism. **F\\*CK CAPITALISM.** ✊\n\n### \n\n| \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/06/12/17/02/19/9550c803-40d4-4acd-91da-887495777b56/260401_CourtofCards_00001.jpg)\n | | \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/06/12/17/08/37/be01375a-d296-4780-935b-a8dc6080f177/260401_CourtofCards_00051.jpg)\n |\n| \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/06/12/17/14/29/df841a2f-2980-4a56-b9f1-deaf8e33422e/260401_CourtofCards_00057-2.jpg)\n | | \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/06/12/17/10/44/601f8182-e202-481d-8a27-634ac08d8e6d/260401_CourtofCards_00075.jpg)\n |\n\n# [Full gallery of the last Court here!](https://photos.app.goo.gl/z5guKTxJwRgMwa13A)\n\n \n\n# 🙌🏼 🙌🏿🖤🜄🜃🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈❤️‍🔥🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🜁🜂🤍 🙌🏾 🙌🏽\n\n**Experience is a Spectrum.** \n**We have all been given different gifts and challenges, pains and privileges.** \n**Be kind.** \n**As always our events are open and inclusive for diversity and as queer as you fancy,** \n**bigotry will not be tolerated, bring more weirdness, if you think we can do better let us know,** \n**if you think you could do better jump on in, the water's warm!**\n\n**Your mood is entirely valid in this space, feel free to let people know where you're at, and give grace to anyone not at your energy level, be that higher or lower, we're not always on a jolly, sometimes we're doing some work, sadness might be expected, as might happiness, this is a listening space, unless clearly invited to respond.**\n\nIf you like The Court of Cards then invite us somewhere to help you run one, \nor take the idea and make it your own. \n_❤️‍🔥_",
