"description": "Release & Rise + Qi-Gong— A Journey into Regulation, Movement & Freedom\n\nA 3-hour embodied journey to regulate your nervous system, release tension, reconnect with your body, and discover greater freedom and ease through movement and dance.\n\nThe Journey\n\nFirst 40 minutes — Regulation, Body Awareness & Free Movement\n\nWe begin by slowing down, arriving in the body and creating a sense of grounding and presence.\n\nThrough gentle nervous-system regulation, breathwork and body awareness, we explore free movement through Qi-Gong practice with the guest teacher @Michelle Brace. Using simple movements, spirals, and energy exploration, we begin to notice sensations, soften tension and discover new possibilities for movement — without forcing or following choreography.\n\nYou’ll be introduced to simple tools that can support regulation, resilience, energy and emotional balance, while developing a deeper awareness of how your body feels and moves.\n\n1 hour 40 minutes — Ecstatic Dance Wave\n\nFrom this grounded place, we gather in a circle and begin with a short grounding meditation before moving into the Ecstatic Dance Wave.\n\nThe music takes us on a carefully curated journey — from grounding and release into expansion, vitality and joy, before gradually returning towards calm and stillness.\n\nThere are no steps to follow and no right or wrong way to move. This is an invitation to listen to your body, explore free movement and express yourself authentically.\n\nLast 15 minutes — Relaxation & Integration\n\nWe close with a soothing 15-minute guided full-body relaxation, giving your nervous system and body time to settle and integrate the experience.\n\nAfterwards, there is space to stay, relax, have a chat and connect with others — or simply enjoy some quiet time for yourself.\n\nImportant Information \nBeginners welcome — no experience needed \nAlcohol- and drug-free space \nNo phones on the dance floor \nFootage may be taken of the space for promotion, but no direct or identifiable photos of participants \nPlease arrive on time — doors open 15 minutes before the start \nIf you wish to join only the dance, please get in touch \nWhat to Bring \nComfortable clothes — we dance barefoot \nWater and snacks \nOptional yoga mat, cushion or blanket \nA curious, compassionate, wild heart \nWhy Join?\n\n✓ Learn simple tools to support nervous-system regulation \n✓ Release tension through embodied movement \n✓ Explore fascia, breath and body awareness \n✓ Discover new possibilities through free movement \n✓ Experience freedom and self-expression through dance \n✓ Reconnect with vitality, joy and embodied strength \n✓ Leave feeling grounded, lighter and more alive\n\nCreated and guided with integrity, simplicity and care by Teia Peters.\n\nHow to get there:\n\nStorey's Field Centre is located in Eddington. \n\nJust two miles from central Cambridge between Madingley Road, Huntingdon Road and the M11. We hope that you will take time to discover us via sustainable modes of transport. We are a ten-minute cycle ride from the City Centre.\n\nExtensive cycle parking is available around the development site.\n\nEddington is also on the Universal Bus route visit www.go-whippet.co.uk for details.
