"description": "### **A special end-of-year gathering to close one chapter together before opening the next.**\n\nThere is a strange little space between Christmas and New Year.\n\nThe rush has slowed down. \nThe year is coming to an end. \nAnd for a moment, there is nowhere you need to be.\n\nSo rather than rushing straight into the next year, what if you paused?\n\n**To look back.** \n**To notice.** \n**To connect.** \n**To let go.** \n**And to ask yourself what you really want to take with you.**\n\nThis special end-of-year Authentic Relating Experience is an invitation to slow down and explore not only **what happened this year, but how you experienced yourself and others through relationship.**\n\nWhat kinds of relationships did you experience this year? \nWhich ones nourished you, challenged you or changed you? \nWhere did you experience closeness, conflict, belonging or disconnection? \nWhat did your relationships reveal about your needs, boundaries, patterns and ways of connecting?\n\nWe'll explore your **relational growth,** the challenges, opportunities, discoveries and moments of courage that shaped you.\n\nThrough guided exercises, meaningful conversations, embodiment, play and reflection, we'll create space to appreciate what has been, make room for what needs to go, and reconnect with what matters.\n\nThis isn't about creating the perfect New Year's resolutions.\n\nIt's about becoming a little more aware of what is already here, and choosing how you want to relate, connect and show up in the year ahead.\n\n**Come as you are. Pause with us before the next chapter begins.**\n\n \n\n \n\n## **A Playground for Being Human**\n\nAt Authentic Relating Experience, this is what fascinates us.\n\nNot how to become someone different.\n\nNot how to appear more confident or say the perfect thing.\n\nWe're interested in something much closer.\n\nWhat happens inside us when another human enters our experience?\n\nWhat stories appear?\n\nWhat assumptions form?\n\nWhat sensations arise in the body?\n\nWhat needs quietly ask to be met?\n\nWhat parts of ourselves come alive, wonders or disappear?\n\nThe more awareness we bring to these moments, the more freedom we have to choose how we respond rather than simply react.\n\nMost of us have spent our entire lives around other people. We've learned to adapt. Perhaps to perform, to please. To protect ourselves or to fit in.\n\nBut how often have we been invited to slow down and simply notice what is happening while we're with another person?\n\nNot to fix it.\n\nNot to analyse it.\n\nJust to experience it.\n\n \n\n \n\n## **What You'll Experience**\n\nThis isn't a workshop where you'll spend hours listening to us explain human connection.\n\nInstead, you'll step into carefully designed experiences that allow you to observe yourself, and others, in the present moment.\n\nThrough partner exercises, movement, playful experiments, quiet reflection and group exploration, we'll investigate the subtle ways we meet, communicate and respond to one another.\n\nSome moments may be light and playful.\n\nSome may surprise you.\n\nSome may feel deeply moving.\n\nSome may feel uncomfortable.\n\nAll of them are invitations.\n\nBecause an entire relational pattern can sometimes reveal itself when we simply slow down enough to notice it.\n\n \n\n \n\n## **Our Approach**\n\nEverything we do is built around three interconnected pillars:\n\nAwareness:the capacity to notice what is happening, within us, between us, and around us, meeting experiences with attention rather than assumption.\n\nRelating:the ongoing process of bringing ourselves into connection with another; participating in the living relationship that unfolds between us.\n\nEmbodiment:the process of allowing awareness and insight to become lived experience, something we inhabit and express through the body.\n\nAuthentic Relating becomes a bridge, an experiential practice that helps us explore connection with greater honesty, presence and curiosity. Rather than trying to manufacture something new, it enhances the quality of what is already there, creating the conditions for relationships that are more meaningful, intentional and human.\n\n \n\n \n\n## **This Is Not About Performing Vulnerability**\n\nYou don't need to be outgoing, confident, spiritual or experienced in this kind of work.\n\nYou won't be pressured to share personal stories or manufacture emotional intimacy with strangers.\n\nEvery exercise is an invitation.\n\nYou are always welcome to participate, adapt, pause, observe or say no.\n\nYour boundaries are not obstacles to the experience. They are part of what we are here to notice, understand and respect.\n\n \n\n \n\n## **An Invitation**\n\nCome alone or with someone you know.\n\nCome curious.\n\nCome uncertain.\n\nCome excited.\n\nCome slightly suspicious.\n\nDon't worry about arriving as your best self.\n\nJust bring the human one.\n\n \n\n## **Before You Book: Creating a Safe and Brave Space**\n\nWe aim to create a space that is both safe and brave. Safe enough that people can honour their boundaries, ask for what they need and know they will be respected. Brave enough that we can gently step beyond familiar patterns, meet discomfort with curiosity and discover new ways of relating.\n\nParticipation is always by invitation. You are welcome to pause, observe or opt out of any activity at any time.\n\nTo support presence and confidentiality, this is a phone-free event and photography is not permitted during the session.\n\nBy booking, you agree to respect the group's boundaries, confidentiality and community agreements.\n\n**👉** [**Download ARE Agreements**](https://static1.squarespace.com/static/63399f96eea5336bbff25dd0/t/6a71925dd2d7ca553158bab5/1785827933258/ARE+Agreements.pdf)\n\n \n\n**Your Facilitators** \nMaria Pareo — Therapist, Coach and founder of Psychoenergetic Work®\n\nMarcus Hunt — Psychological Researcher and Facilitator\n\nErika Mendler — Psychologist and Community Supporter\n\n \n\n### **Connect With Us**\n\n**Website:** https://authenticrelatingexperience.co.uk/\n\n**Instagram:** @relating.room\n\n**Email:** relatingroom@gmail.com\n\n**Whatapp:** 07341465023\n\n \n\n### **Your Words:**\n\n\"A great afternoon of calm and connection.\"\n\n\"A safe space to explore relating to others.\"\n\n\"A special and safe container to truly experience yourself and others.\"\n\n\"I really enjoyed it. It made me reflect on myself and the changes I want to make.\"\n\n\"Very well held, welcoming, and supportive.\"\n\n\"A safe space to learn communication skills without having to share anything I wasn't comfortable sharing.\"",
