"description": "### **WHY 'RADICAL REST'?**\n\nIn today’s fast-paced world, taking time to rest has become a bold and necessary act. In a society that often glorifies busyness and overwork, choosing to rest and recharge can sometimes be seen as a sign of weakness or laziness. We’re often expected to constantly work and achieve to feel successful and valuable.\n\nBecause of this, many people push themselves to the edge of burnout, sacrificing their physical and mental health. This constant state of stress and exhaustion can lead to many negative effects, like decreased productivity, mood swings, and even chronic health issues.\n\nBy choosing to prioritise rest and self-care, we’re embracing our right to take a break and focus on our well-being. We’re standing up for ourselves and rejecting the harmful idea that our worth is tied to how productive we are.\n\n**Taking time to rest has become a bold, radical move because it challenges the norm and makes society face the negative impacts of overwork and constant busyness. It’s a powerful act of self-preservation and a stand against the pressures of modern life.**\n\n \n\n \n\n### **WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?**\n\n\\>\\>Restorative Yoga Session\\<\\<\n\nThe session will begin with **nourishing restorative yoga** , which is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic style of practice that focuses on gentle, supported poses to allow the body and mind to release tension and stress. ** ** Props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks support the body in each pose, promoting a sense of ease and surrender.\n\nThrough the practice of restorative yoga, you will have the opportunity to deeply relax and let go of physical, mental, and emotional tension. **No previous yoga experience is necessary.**\n\n \n\n\\>\\>Sound Meditation\\<\\<\n\nAfter the restorative yoga practice, you will be guided into a healing sound bath meditation experience.\n\nA **sound bath** is a form of sound therapy that uses the vibrations of various instruments, such as gongs and/or singing bowls, chimes, rattles etc to induce a state of deep relaxation and meditation. As you lie comfortably on your mat, the gentle waves of sound and vibrations wash over you, allowing you to sink into a state of pure bliss and tranquillity.\n\n \n\nThroughout the event, you will be supported by the soothing presence of our experienced facilitators who will guide you through each step of the process with care and compassion. **The combination of restorative yoga and gong bath creates a powerful synergy that allows you to release tension, quiet the mind, and connect with your inner peace.**\n\n \n\nWhether you are new to yoga and meditation or a regular practitioner, Radical Rest offers a safe and nurturing space for you to explore the depths of relaxation and healing. This event is suitable for all levels of experience and is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or physical ability.\n\n \n\n### **OUR HOSTS:**\n\n_ **Magdalena Lesiak** _ - Holistic Therapist, Gong Master and trauma informed Sound Therapist at Rising Crow Therapies, Bristol\n\n[www.risingcrowtherapies.com](https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.risingcrowtherapies.com%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR22CQ5STtSZCnBuSyKn-sOsrQtBl-wCcw5x09V5EmcNQuFBhQYe8HeSNy4_aem_r1AFs3C2JDkFII5NK2IiIg&h=AT363DzZ4m5JmmbuRFPf_ovU684-nD8P_aRE1_cOUBuq2FGLRUjUTpw3gRTgkGC6mvzr-jjIVfUahV4Cspo9lOAEgZ7PQTii4oR9gS-FwbEutAKyURRIliOyhnx5fZXexZyz_CkhMvq_nTtGAw& __tn__ =q&c[0]=AT1n3WYGx5hPi8N12ePiK1le4Zknh-PUohr4t4t7FzDcfx_qK9tt894JzNG_QRKnn7PAPuJwUv1SD7ftCRcKtJ0BZxFgyJsPcpHJNmIc678I1hVH-eGAmzLLWgf6zep2dZDBtjxuEdGGhRg8J37gYT9xErqnizKphLwlxSl6k8cWCIWV-f8W)\n\n_ **Basia Zerucha** _ - Massage Therapist, Oriental Bodywork Specialist, Yoga Teacher at Petal Talk Therapies, Bristol\n\n[www.petaltalktherapies.co.uk](http://www.petaltalktherapies.co.uk/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR0XBZFUnuiw36c1HE4VM8-1_lIorWFmfeRjaEWkboZsHbrbshftW8WqF64_aem_urtFIL3cJU-POsLle0f7fA)",
