"description": "# PsySoc Social Frome\n\nAn evening of real talk, new friends & wild tales\n\n**Tired of small talk? So are we.** \nCome drop the mask and dive into something a little more real.\n\nJoin us for a night of **Psychedelic Speed-Friending** , where curiosity, courage and connection take centre stage. We’ll gently guide you through playful ice-breakers and juicy conversation prompts designed to help you meet new people in meaningful ways. Think slow, soul-nourishing conversations rather than frantic networking. Expect short but impactful heart-to-hearts in pairs and trios. Plus plenty of time to flow freely with whoever you vibe with most.\n\nOnce the room’s warmed up and hearts are open, we shift into **Psychedelic Storytelling,** our beloved open mic session where _you_ get the chance to take the stage. Share your story, whether it’s strange, tender, funny, or downright mystical. There’s no need to be polished or profound, just honest. Stories are 5 minutes max, and you can sign up on the night.\n\n**A Beautiful Psychedelic Community: ** Get access to our wonderful community coalescing around all things fungi. Many people at our socials have become life-long friends. Most of our members come alone, this is a safe and welcoming space for everyone, no matter your age, sexuality, background, gender, ethnicity or nationality. Fungi know no boundaries, which is the ethos we bring to our socials. \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/02/26/17/12/10/ff8883a5-bf94-4de9-9b02-20bc10086351/Nature.png)\n\n# **VENUE**\n\nArchangel, 1 King St, Frome BA11 1BH\n\n# **OUR TEAM**\n\n### Carly Birch\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/01/21/16/30/22/9f26d3d2-6f36-427c-95c2-2619789e0f09/1e5c734b-8623-49b4-9737-f70b2e6db100.jpeg)\n\nCarly is a facilitator, event curator, and co-director of the Psychedelic Society, supporting strategy, long-term vision and team leadership. Grounded in the belief that exploring consciousness is an inalienable right, she is especially interested in how the surrounding culture influences the way these experiences are met, interpreted, and integrated. Her work centres on strengthening social and spiritual connection, and on the shared intelligence that communities carry.\n\nWith a commitment to fostering a more connected, curious, and open-minded culture, Carly creates gatherings and immersive retreats that offer practical ways to deepen relationship with self, others, and the natural world, while helping broaden and refine public understanding of psychedelics.\n\nAlongside her work with the Psychedelic Society, Carly is certified in Transpersonal Coaching Psychology and has completed a year-long psychedelic informed practitioner training with VITAL. She brings in-person experience supporting and managing psychedelic retreats, and also supports Heroic Hearts Project UK, assisting with ayahuasca retreats for veterans and law enforcement workers.\n\n# Find Your Community with The Psychedelic Society\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/02/26/17/12/33/0a9bf817-d03e-4255-88e3-a131ae14d00f/Nature (2).png)",
