"description": "# The Psychedelic Society\n\n### _Psychedelic Speed-friending and Psychedelic Storytelling_\n\n# **About the night**\n\n**Psychedelic Speed-friending** : sweet conversation, friend-making and (maybe?) finding your future lover! You can drop the small talk and ask the questions you REALLY want to ask. Taking inspiration from the [36 Questions to Intimacy](https://36questionsinlove.com/) and The School of Life's '100 Questions,' this evening gives you a menu of profound, intriguing, and spicy questions designed to inspire authenticity and meaningful connection with those around you. You’ll be guided through playful icebreakers and a series of 10-minute one-on-one conversations with different people throughout the evening, wrapping up with free-flowing socializing. You’ll leave here with a fresh perspective on connection, some fun stories, and maybe even the beginning of something special.\n\n**Psychedelic Storytelling:** this is becoming a must for our monthly socials. There will be the opportunity for all of us to share our psychedelic stories - the weird, the tricky and the downright wonderful. This part of the evening will be open-mic style and we will have a sign-up sheet to add your name to the list of storytellers. Your stories should be no more than 5 minutes and there's no need to rehearse what to say or come particularly prepared - often the best stories are told off-the-cuff and from the heart!\n\n**A Beautiful Psychedelic Community: ** Get access to our wonderful community coalescing around all things fungi. Many people at our socials have become life-long friends. Most of our members come alone, this is a safe and welcoming space for everyone, no matter your age, sexuality, background, gender, ethnicity or nationality. Fungi know no boundaries, which is the ethos we bring to our socials. \n\n**Delicious Food and Drink:** Indulge in the mouthwatering plant-based offerings at Love Shack, where creativity extends to the kitchen. Their menu features delicious, sustainably sourced dishes and drinks crafted to nourish the body and delight the senses. It’s the perfect accompaniment to an evening of artistic exploration.\n\n# **Schedule **\n\n- 18:40: Please arrive 5 minutes before so we can start speed-friending promptly at 6:45pm\n- 18:45: Psychedelic Speed-Friending\n- 20:45: 15 minutes Break (you can order food & a drink to eat while listening to psychedelic story-telling)\n- 21:00: Psychedelic Story-telling\n- 21:30: Finishing / time to socialise\n\n# The Venue \n\nJoin us at Love Shack, a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar spread over three beautiful exposed brick arches in the heart of Hackney, East London. \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/02/26/15/26/09/26d30352-9ed5-4d41-9e26-7e84752d5049/Callum%20&%20Thalia%20%20(9).png)\n\n# Membership \n\n**MEMBERS of the Psychedelic Society get a discount off almost all of our events.**\n\n[**Join from £5 a month**](https://psychedelicsociety.org.uk/become-a-member) ** and become part of this amazing community with invites to special events and more.**\n\n# **Your Facilitators **\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/04/06/10/44/33/65189f18-ee08-4d2e-a548-a13433c02287/3a2705d6-cd7d-423c-9e39-77e6433bbbd4.jpeg)\n\nKate is an event coordinator at the Psychedelic Society.
