We value every participant for who you are and the story you bring.\n\nThere will also be space for quiet integration, rest and nourishment.\n\nEach practice draws inspiration from grief-honouring traditions across cultures, while staying \nrooted in our own intuitive relationship with the land, ourselves and one another.\n\nYou will receive a welcome questionnaire ahead of the day, and we are happy to offer a 1:1 call beforehand if you would like to connect or ask any questions.\n\nYou are welcome to bring your own packed lunch or opt for a delicious home cooked vegeterian lunch prepared on the day for £10 (please indicate your preference when \nbooking).\n\n \n\n**Why do we honour grief?**\n\n_Grief is an expression of love. If we love deeply, we grieve deeply._\n\nMartín Prechtel writes that grief is a form of praise. Without grief, the world cannot renew itself. After loss and longing, grief \nrevives and reshapes us; it is a sacred act. Yet we’ve been taught to hide it, compress it, carry it in silence. Many of us grieve in isolation, believing our sorrow is too much, too personal, or unwelcome in the world.\n\n_But grief is not meant to be exiled. It’s meant to be tended, witnessed, and shared._\n\nIn older cultures, grief was communal. Mourning was ritualised, embodied, and woven into the cycles of daily life. There were songs for grief. There were fires. There were arms to hold you. Grief was never meant to be walked alone.\n\n**This day is a space to begin remembering that.**\n\nGrief can arise from many places and all are welcome here -perhaps a death, ending, ancestral pain, unmet love, ecological loss, parts of ourselves we’ve abandoned or forgotten or grief for the world.\n\nHowever it shows up, grief is a teacher. If we meet it, it changes us. If we honour it, it softens us. If we walk with it together, it connects us.\n\n**This space is for you if you:** \n- have grieved in silence or struggle to connect to your grief \n- have never felt you had the tools, space, or permission to grieve \n- carry sorrow that feels too much to bear alone \n- ache for something unnamed \n- long to be witnessed, not fixed \n- want to remember how grief and love live side by side\n\nThis is not therapy. It’s not performance. It’s not a place to fix or be fixed. **This is a space to listen and be in presence with grief, held by a sense of togetherness that’s bigger than us all. To remember that your love is sacred. And that you are not alone.**\n\n**Please note, tickets are non-refundable. **", "endsAt": "2027-03-13T17:00:00Z", "locations": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.location.geo", "latitude": "51.754008", "longitude": "-2.187132", "name": "Stroud Slad Farm, Slad Lane, The Vatch, Stroud, UK" } ], "mode": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#inperson", "name": "Honouring Grief - a Day of Ritual & Community", "startsAt": "2027-03-13T10:00:00Z", "status": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#scheduled", "uris": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#uri", "name": "Honouring Grief - a Day of Ritual & Community", "uri": "https://dandelion.events/e/p585m" } ] }
