Short term, this is fine — but long term, the energy required to hide something away can become exhausting, and these parts may begin to leak out and demand your attention.\n\nHow? As mood swings, unexplained reactivity, cycles of toxic relationships…\n\nThis workshop is designed to help you reconnect to all parts of yourself, bringing both the light and dark back into your awareness so you can understand them and welcome them back to the whole. \n\nThe workshop is framed by the archetypes of the 4 Elements, which we will use as a guide when we dive within, exploring the mindbodyheart.\n\n- **Earth** : safety, foundations, family, body\n- **Water** : feeling, change, sensuality\n- **Fire** : beginnings and endings, transformation, self-image\n- **Air** : expression, relationships, heart\n\nIf you know that you're ready to step into yourself fully, I invite you to join me at ALIVE **. The first event of its kind. **\n\n### **What's unique about this?**\n\n- **The Venue** : we will be at **studiothirty,** a gorgeous space inside the iconic Golden Lane Estate. Decked out with designer lighting from Copenhagen, you'll be held in a cosy space that is perfect for these autumn days. Just next door is the Barbican and its rooftop gardens, giving you space to integrate and process after our session. \n- **Shamanic Breathwork through the 4 Elements:** this is a unique creation and nowhere else in London can you find this! ** **\n- **The Method: ** The Wavekind Breathwork Method is celebrated for its emphasis on agency and invitation. You'll learn ways to adjust the intensity of your experience using your breath, ensuring that it is within your window of tolerance, preventing re-traumatisation and disassociation. \n- **The Group:** all Wavekind events are intentionally small. This event is capped at 12 people, to ensure that everyone has physical and emotional space to explore their inner world with curiosity and playfulness.\n\n### What to Expect\n\n**3:30 - 4:00pm — Grounding **\n\nWe arrive and settle into the space. You'll be guided through meditation and somatic exercises such as stretching and interoception to begin to align mind and body. \n\n**4:00 - 4:15pm — Introduction to Shamanic Breathwork**\n\nLearn about the lineage and history of Shamanic Breathwork, warm up the body for breathing, and practice the breathing method as a group. \n\n**4:15 - 5:00pm — Wavekind Breathwork Journey**\n\nYou'll lie down and be guided through an immersive Shamanic Breathwork Journey, guided using the Wavekind Breathwork method to ensure nervous system safety. Involving conscious connected breathing, vocal toning, and options for light bodywork and energy work. \n\n**5:00- 5:30pm — Integration and Closing**\n\nLand back in your body with gentle music. Creative integration options are provided after you return to normal consciousness, and we close with a sharing circle, where you can share as much or as little as you want. \n\n**After the session**\n\nYou'll have access to the facilitator and founder of Wavekind, Yasmin Nguyen, in case you wish to receive support in processing your experience. You'll also receive some journaling prompts to help you weave any insights back into daily life. \n\n### **ALIVE is for you if:** \n\n- You are ready to begin embracing all parts of yourself, welcoming them back into the whole\n- You are seeking a psychedelic-adjacent experience without substances\n- You are ready to break cycles of unhealthy patterns, complete unfinished processes, and awaken your inner wisdom\n\n**Contraindications:**\n\n1) Epilepsy \n2) Pregnancy \n3) Detached Retina \n4) Glaucoma \n5) High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication \n6) Cardiovascular Disease including but not limited to prior heart attack \n7) Use of Prescription Blood Thinners such as Coumadin \n8) Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 10 years \n9) History of Aneurysms in immediate family \n10) Strokes, TIAs, seizures or other brain/neurological condition or disease \n11) Prior diagnosis by a health professional of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia\n\n_Asthma is not a contraindication, but if you have this condition, please bring your inhaler._\n\n### **How to Prepare:**\n\n- Fill out the intake form in your email (if you cannot find it, contact me — yasmin [at] wavekind [dot] com)\n- Bring a water bottle, journal and pen.
