It involves a constant dialogue between two or more movers who respond to each other’s movements in real time, often maintaining physical contact but also playing with proximity and space. This practice emphasises spontaneity, trust, and mutual awareness, allowing dancers to create unique movement for each encounter.\n\nThis movement practice was initiated in 1972 by the American dancer and choreographer Steve Paxton , who drew from his background in gymnastics, aikido, and martial arts. \n\n**What is sound bath? **\n\nSound therapy — sometimes called sound healing or a sound bath — is a deeply embodied experience that works through vibration, rhythm, and resonance.\n\nAcross cultures and ancient traditions, sound has long been used to support healing, ritual, and altered states of awareness. Today, modern science is beginning to understand why sound can have such a profound effect on the nervous system, emotional regulation, and states of consciousness.\n\nThis work lives at the meeting point of ancient wisdom and contemporary understanding.", "endsAt": "2026-11-28T20:00:00Z", "locations": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.location.geo", "latitude": "51.49102420000001", "longitude": "-0.096873", "name": "Walworth Town Hall by General People, Walworth Road, London, UK" } ], "mode": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#inperson", "name": "Resonance in Motion", "startsAt": "2026-11-28T18:00:00Z", "status": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#scheduled", "uris": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#uri", "name": "Resonance in Motion", "uri": "https://dandelion.events/e/z6znh" } ] }
