Follow the impulses of your body in the company of a warm and friendly community of dancers. Expect a great night out and a powerful movement practice in one. If fate smiles on us, we might touch the ecstasy that’s always waiting to be found.\n\n \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/02/04/21/20/05/e89ddd8b-0497-4c24-a4e2-446f5aebd73d/ED photo.jpg)\n\n \n\n### **What Is Ecstatic Dance? **\n\n \n\nEcstatic Dance is a freeform dance style that encourages people to move in ways that are freeing and natural. It is a movement meditation that helps people feel more connected to themselves and to others. There are no steps to learn - you are free to follow the flow and impulse of your own body. \n\nIt can be playful and joyful, deep and emotional, energising and grounding - sometimes all in the same dance. Many people describe it as both a great night out and a powerful movement practice. It’s a space to let go, have fun, connect with others, and reconnect with yourself. \n\n \n\n### **What to Expect **\n\n \n\nWe will start with a welcoming, relaxing warm-up to get us in the mood! This gives time for you to arrive, let go of your day and begin to tune in to yourself and your needs and to re-connect with your body. \n\nWe’ll then come together briefly in an opening circle to ground, connect, and set the tone for the night including a brief meditation courtesy of Sacha Allistone. \n\nFrom there, the music will guide us through a journey of movement - starting slow and spacious, building into vibrant, high-energy dance, and gradually returning to stillness and calm. \n \nExpect music drawn from across traditions; world sounds, ceremonial electronica and deep grooves that touch the heart and move the body. \n \nIf you’d like a taste of previous dance journeys, you can listen to my ecstatic dance mixes at [mixcloud.com/DJ\\_Estavia/ ](https://www.mixcloud.com/DJ_Estavia/)\n\nThere will be opportunities to explore movement solo, in pairs, and in small groups - however these are optional and you are welcome to follow your own needs at all times. We’ll close with a peaceful circle to ground and integrate the experience. \n\n### \n\n### **About Me **\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/01/30/15/11/02/aed9b9e3-a09e-4a4f-81e9-f03365579ea4/Steve at Unity-72 final-2 Edit for warmth.JPG)\n\n \n\nSteve Coomber, known as DJ Estavia, is an experienced Ecstatic Dance facilitator and DJ with over 25 years experience in conscious movement practices.
