A moderation verdict on a record.
It names a version (a strongRef) and what it is (spam, obscene, !takedown). spam and obscene are judged on all of that version's fields and cover that version only, so an edit is a new version they do not cover. !takedown is an operator's takedown: it covers every version of the subject record, including later edits. Only bad versions get one; a version with no verdict was judged clean or not judged. Withdrawing a verdict is deleting it (or updating it with other values) in a commit. A reader drops a version with a verdict it honours before composing a cluster's default view, and before deriving anything from it: the commons curator leaves it out of the curated record, the features rule out of its evidence. A reader honours a verdict only from an author whose pub.techne.draft.publisher declaration lists those values in labels and is vouched for by the commons root (a live root pub.techne.draft.credential pinned to its CID). atproto labels (com.atproto.label.queryLabels) are an export generated from these records for Bluesky-style clients, never the source of truth. Written in the writer's own repo: spam and obscene by the commons features rule, !takedown by api.coop's operator account (whichever account the root vouches for with verdict in writes and !takedown in labels).
