Born from collaboration between The Psychedelic Society and The Ouroboros Foundation, this monthly conscious movement ritual invites you to return to your body, awaken your inner flame, and join a community committed to intentional, embodied practice.\n\nOuroboros, the ancient symbol of the serpent consuming its own tail, represents the endless cycle of renewal — the continuous flow between mind, body, and soul. It reminds us that transformation is a living loop we return to again and again. Our dance becomes that loop: a space to release, reclaim, and rise.\n\nThis launch event opens a conscious dance floor where everyone is welcome. No choreography. No expectations. Just music, breath, and the freedom to move as you are. Together we build a community rooted in presence, connection, and shared transformation.\n\nBreathe into your body. Move into your truth. Welcome to launch of Ecstatic Dance at the Exeter Phoenix.\n\n## Meet Your Facilitators\n\nStep into a soulful space where rhythm and radiance meet. The Lord of Celebration brings sunshine and sublime sounds from across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East — weaving joyful, sun‑soaked mystery and magic loaded with groove. His sets melt you into the glow of blazing basslines and ignite sparks of tropical, genre‑hopping wonder. Join him as we celebrate embodied life itself — a dance of warmth, connection, and ecstatic flow.\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/11/06/21/34/55/c921af47-0369-479c-86e2-03c34fb3a249/132993b5-7eff-4f58-a1e7-19bcd5fcfa96.jpeg)\n\n**Zephyr Wood** completed her BSc in Sustainable Development at the University of Wales, Bangor, and was part of Exeter University’s inaugural 2024 cohort for the Postgraduate Certificate in _Psychedelics, Mind, Medicine and Culture_, where she received a distinction.\n\nShe currently works as the South West UK Events Coordinator for the Psychedelic Society and is also a founding director of The Ouroboros Foundation — a community‑interest organisation dedicated to building a conscious community to support independent psychedelic mental health and wellness research.\n\n## **The Evening**\n\n19:00: Doors Open\n\n19:15: Opening \n\n19:30: Ecstatic Dance Begins\n\n21:00: Closing \n\n21:30: Event ends\n\n# The Venue\n\n![The gig venue guide: Exeter Phoenix | Music | The Guardian](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTSn6Z_fQhwRT6xnAbjHUMzMGU4cajVJdukWd85OXQGhA&s=10)\n\n**The Exeter Phoenix - Gandy St, Bradninch, Place, Exeter EX4 3LS**\n\n## **About The Psychedelic Society**\n\nThe Psychedelic Society is a UK‑based non‑profit community dedicated to exploring connection, meaning, and transformation through events, courses, retreats, and gatherings. Founded in 2014, it provides spaces for people to engage with practices, conversations, and experiences that deepen relationship — with oneself, with others, with the living world, and with the wider mystery of existence.\n\nRather than focusing solely on substances, the Society centres the human journey: how altered states, contemplative practices, embodiment, ritual, and nature connection can support wellbeing, insight, and belonging. Its programmes bring together facilitators, researchers, artists, and community members to explore consciousness, culture, and the responsible, evidence‑informed use of psychedelics and entheogens.\n\n## **About The Ouroboros Foundation**\n\nThe Ouroboros Foundation is a UK non‑profit building a community‑rooted base for independent psychedelic mental‑health research. It supports work beyond clinical‑trial models and outside corporatised spaces, nurturing diverse, justice‑focused projects grounded in collective wellbeing.This Ecstatic Dance event is part of this community‑building journey — a space where movement, connection, and shared intention help seed future independent psychedelic research. \n\n## \n\n#", "endsAt": "2026-11-15T21:45:00Z", "locations": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.location.geo", "latitude": "50.7249111", "longitude": "-3.5267139", "name": "The Exeter Phoenix, Paris Street, Exeter, UK" } ], "mode": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#inperson", "name": "Ecstatic Dance at Exeter Phoenix", "startsAt": "2026-11-15T19:00:00Z", "status": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#scheduled", "uris": [ { "$type": "community.lexicon.calendar.event#uri", "name": "Ecstatic Dance at Exeter Phoenix", "uri": "https://dandelion.events/e/a2iy8" } ] }
