"description": "### **What Happens to You When Someone Matters?**\n\n \n\n_A guided, interactive exploration of conscious love, dating, intimacy and authentic connection._\n\n \n\nBefore you read any further... Pause.\n\nBring to mind someone whose attention has mattered to you.\n\nSomeone you wanted to choose you. \nUnderstand you. \nStay with you. \nLove you.\n\nNow notice what happens inside you.\n\nDo you soften? \nTense? \nReach towards them? \nPull away?\n\nDo you become more yourself, or begin carefully editing who you are?\n\nYou don’t need to work anything out.\n\nJust notice.\n\nBecause love doesn’t only reveal itself in what we feel for another person. It reveals itself in what happens to us when they matter.\n\nThe ways we open. \nThe ways we protect ourselves. \nThe needs we express. \nThe needs we hide. \nThe parts of ourselves we offer freely. \nAnd the parts we fear may be too much, or not enough.\n\nThis is where our exploration begins.\n\n \n\n### **How Do We Love Without Disappearing?**\n\nMost of us carry an idea of what love is supposed to look like.\n\nFind “the one.” \nBe chosen. \nMake it work. \nDon’t ask for too much. \nDon’t end up alone.\n\nThese pressures can shape our relationships long before we become aware of them.\n\nPerhaps we learn to please rather than speak honestly. \nTo ignore a boundary rather than risk disappointing someone. \nTo hide what we need. \nTo confuse intensity with intimacy. \nTo hold on when something no longer feels right. \nOr to remain guarded when what we really want is to be met.\n\nNot because we are doing love incorrectly.\n\nBecause we have all learned ways of finding connection, and ways of protecting ourselves from losing it. This workshop is an opportunity to slow those patterns down and become curious about them.\n\nNot to discover the correct way to love.\n\nTo discover how _you_ love.\n\n \n\n### **A Playground for Conscious Love**\n\nThis isn’t a lecture about relationships, and it isn’t a dating event.\n\nYou won’t spend the day being told how a healthy relationship should look. Instead, you’ll enter carefully designed experiences that allow you to notice connection as it unfolds, in your thoughts, your body and the living space between you and another person.\n\nThrough partner exercises, movement, meditation, relational games, quiet reflection and group exploration, we’ll investigate questions such as:\n\nWhat do I truly long for in love and connection? \nWhat happens when I feel wanted, or unwanted? \nHow do I communicate my needs, desires and boundaries? \nWhat allows me to trust? \nWhat makes me withdraw? \nCan I remain connected to another person without abandoning myself? \nWhat does intimacy feel like when I don’t have to perform it?\n\nSome moments may be playful.\n\nSome may feel tender.\n\nSome may surprise you.\n\nSome may show you something you hadn’t noticed before.\n\nAll of them are invitations.\n\n \n\n## This Is Not About Performing Vulnerability\n\nYou won’t be expected to reveal your deepest secrets, manufacture intimacy or share anything you would prefer to keep private.\n\nYou don’t need to be single. \nYou don’t need to be in a relationship. \nYou don’t need to be confident, outgoing or experienced in this kind of work.\n\nYou may be dating, partnered, healing, beginning again, questioning what you want—or simply curious about how you meet others when love is involved.\n\nWherever you are, you are welcome.\n\n \n\n## Touch, Choice and Consent\n\nSome exercises may offer the possibility of respectful, non-sexual touch. Touch is never assumed or required. Every activity is an invitation.\n\nYou are always welcome to participate, adapt, pause, observe or say no. Consent can be changed at any moment, without explanation.\n\nYour boundaries are not obstacles to connection. They are part of how authentic connection becomes possible.\n\n \n\n## Our Approach\n\nEverything we do is built around three interconnected pillars:\n\n**Awareness:** noticing what is happening within us, between us and around us, meeting our experience with attention rather than assumption.\n\n**Relating:** bringing ourselves into connection and participating consciously in the living relationship unfolding between us.\n\n**Embodiment:** allowing awareness and insight to become something we feel, inhabit and express through the body.\n\nAuthentic Relating becomes the bridge between these three: an experiential practice through which we can meet love, intimacy and connection with greater honesty, presence and choice.\n\nRather than trying to manufacture a particular kind of relationship, we explore how to become more available for the relationships that are already here, and those still waiting to emerge.\n\n \n\n## An Invitation\n\nCome single. \nCome partnered. \nCome dating. \nCome hopeful. \nCome uncertain. \n \n\nYou don’t need to arrive ready to open your heart to everyone in the room.\n\nJust arrive willing to notice what makes it open, and what makes it close.\n\n \n\n## Before You Book: Creating a Safe and Brave Space\n\nWe aim to create a space that is both safe and brave.\n\nSafe enough that you can honour your boundaries, ask for what you need and know that your choices will be respected.\n\nBrave enough that you can gently step beyond familiar patterns, meet discomfort with curiosity and experiment with new ways of relating.\n\nParticipation is always by invitation. You are welcome to pause, observe, adapt or opt out of any activity at any time.\n\nTo support presence and confidentiality, this is a phone-free event, and photography is not permitted during the workshop.\n\nBy booking, you agree to respect the group’s boundaries, confidentiality and community agreements.\n\n[👉 **Download the ARE Agreements**](https://static1.squarespace.com/static/63399f96eea5336bbff25dd0/t/6a7eb6b51cf7473ffc5be722/1786689205919/Wellbeing+Map.pdf)\n\n \n\n**Your Facilitators** \nMaria Pareo — Therapist, Coach and founder of Psychoenergetic Work®\n\nMarcus Hunt — Psychological Researcher and Facilitator\n\nErika Mendler — Psychologist and Community Supporter\n\n \n\n## Connect With Us\n\n**Website:** [https://authenticrelatingexperience.co.uk/](https://authenticrelatingexperience.co.uk/) \n**Instagram:** @relating.room \n**Email:** authenticrelatingexperience@gmail.com \n**WhatsApp:** 07341 465023",
