"description": "# Sacred Remembering: A Voice, Mantra and Sound Journey\n\nSomewhere along the way, we were taught that singing belongs to the talented. That the voice must be earned, trained, perfected before it is worthy of being heard. This is a space to remember that your voice was never meant to be performed. It was always a birth right. A prayer. A way home to yourself. There is a voice inside you that was never lost. Only forgotten.\n\nSacred Remembering is a ceremonial afternoon of voice, mantra and sound. A space to open the heart, awaken the voice, and remember what has always been yours.\n\n~~~~~\n\n### What You’ll Experience\n\n#### Cacao Ceremony\n\nWe open with cacao, a heart softening plant medicine that invites presence, warmth and openness. A gentle way to arrive fully and prepare the body and heart for what is to come.\n\n#### **Voice Activation and Exploration**\n\nThrough humming, toning and simple vocal exploration, we begin to wake up the voice. No experience needed. No performance required. Only a willingness to let sound move through you.\n\n#### **Kirtan: Devotional Song and Mantra**\n\nKirtan is a sacred chanting practice from India, rooted in the Bhakti tradition and woven into various yogic and Tantric paths. Every voice is welcome and this practice is accessible to all. Kirtan is not about singing perfectly. It is about remembering the voice as a pathway to connection and exploring your own inner sanctuary.\n\n#### **Sound Journey**\n\nWe close with an immersive sound journey to integrate everything that has moved through you. Lie back and receive as sound and vibration create space for the body to soften and the mind to quiet.\n\n#### **A Touch of Mystery**\n\nOur time together holds space for unexpected insights, subtle shifts, and moments of magic that unfold when you allow yourself to fully open to transformation.\n\n~~~~~\n\n### Who This Is For\n\nFor anyone who has ever felt the call of their own voice.\n\nWhether you have been chanting for years or have never made a conscious sound in a room full of people, you are welcome here. This gathering holds space for the seasoned practitioner and the quietly curious in equal measure.\n\nThe only requirement is an openness to meet your voice exactly as it is. No training. No experience. No performance. Just you, your breath, and a willingness to let something ancient in you remember itself.\n\n~~~~~\n\n### **The space **\n\nThis ceremony will be held at MaxWell-Being, a vibrant and serene wellness venue nestled in a tranquil setting. The retreat will take place in MWB's gorgeous yurt, complete with a cosy fireplace that invites warmth, presence, and connection. \n\nFree parking on site.\n\n![DSC01282-Enhanced-NR.jpg](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/66bb48397971df4e96c02a6f/65ff01e7-edfb-4e5e-9315-96fadce43b2d/DSC01282-Enhanced-NR.jpg)\n\n~~~~~\n\n#### **ABOUT US**\n\n \n\n**Anaïs - @unfurling.alchemy **\n\nAnaïs is a Spiritual Mentor, Cacao Ceremonialist, Rahanni Celestial Healing Teacher and Plant Alchemist. She works with women and mixed groups who sense that something in them is ready to shift. That quiet feeling that the life built on the outside no longer matches who they are becoming on the inside.\n\nThrough ceremony, sound, plant ally wisdom and deep mentorship work, she creates spaces for that knowing to surface and be trusted. Her work is initiatory in nature. Not fixing, not improving. A process of coming back to what was always true.\n\nAnaïs hosts monthly Cacao and Sound Journeys in Southampton, holds 1:1 mentorship and healing containers, and is the creator of The Threshold, a self-paced programme for women ready to stop overriding themselves and start living from the inside out.\n\n**Holly - @hollyhoodyoga**\n\nHolly is a senior yoga teacher, mother, circle facilitator, and kirtan leader. She discovered chanting during her yoga teacher training in 2015 and was instantly drawn to the way it wove together her spiritual practice and lifelong love of music. Having grown up singing and playing various instruments, kirtan felt like coming home.\n\nSince 2017, Holly has been sharing kirtan in South-West London and, more recently, across Hampshire and Surrey. She has also accompanied her teacher, Nikki Slade, at festivals including Latitude and Tribal Earth, singing response and playing melody.\n\nHolly leads kirtan with devotion, and playfulness. She is passionate about helping others gently dissolve the barriers that keep them from rediscovering the joy, connection, and healing medicine of their own voice.\n\n### **Things to note: **\n\nThis retreat is designed to complement your personal growth journey but is not a substitute for professional therapy. If you are in need of therapeutic support, we recommend seeking one-on-one guidance from a licensed psychotherapist. Should you be facing significant mental health challenges, we kindly ask that you contact us prior to the retreat so we can explore together whether this experience is the best fit for you at this time.\n\n**ACCESS:** We do our best to include everyone in our events, regardless of health and financial circumstances. We have \"no one turned away for lack of funds\" policy, therefore if you would like to join but are financially struggling please email me: [info@unfurlingalchemy.co.uk](mailto:info@unfurlingalchemy.co.uk) directly to discuss.",
