With the aroma of smoke and earth, the landscape softens with a long, liberating exhale and opens a threshold into future abundance._\n\n_In this liminal season, we are invited into a process of necessary clearing, shedding. Slowing the pace as we turn our energy inwards in preparation for the dark months ahead. Nature calls for us to surrender, trust the process of the pause. Whilst modern life is already gearing up for a season we haven’t yet entered, fuelled by consumerism and excess. Your diary is in danger of being filled with commitments your heart has no space for._\n\n#### _ **Where is your attention?** _\n\n_Emerging Landscapes is not just a day to slow down and get creative. It is a chance to step out of the demands of ordinary life and emerse yourself in ceremony and reflection. _\n\n### _Recovery in relationship_\n\n_We'll work with our hands, hearts, natural fibres, slow stitches, botanical colour made from locally grown and gathered plants, vintage thread and found materials, providing tangible ways to explore the relationship between the worlds inside and out, above and below._\n\n_There will be time devoted to learning, making, reflection, sharing and experimentation, with ritual woven into the structure of the day. _\n\n_ **If your heart is calling for spaciousness, your soul craves nourishment and your body craves a change of pace, this intimate day of retreat is ready to welcome you. ** _\n\n_You will take some beautiful textile art, and be set up to continue a deeply personal practice connected to the living world._\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/10/04/13/38/29/a8ea82bc-17c3-44ce-8bf4-13124d7d595f/ce0276f1-0506-4379-ae62-cfe9d671f9b3.jpeg)\n\n## _ **Slow Stitch** _\n\nWe will work with simple stitches and natural fabric infused with botanical colour and plant wisdom to create intuitive fibre art inspired by nature, to reveal our own nature. The rhythm of the stitch invites us to slow down, respond to the process and be with the present moment.\n\nYou'll learn some foundational stitches and experiment with composition, layering, natural textures and organic forms inspired by the autumn landscape.\n\nThere are no strict patterns to follow, only guidance and a push to explore your creative edge. You will work intuitively, allowing the cloth, thread and your inner landscape to shape the piece. We are at once _ **creator** _ and _ **witness** _ through this process. What emerges can reveal what we cannot yet put into words.\n\nThe rhythm of the stitch becomes a way of finding your own way of moving — discovering when to follow, when to pause, when to change direction and when to trust what you cannot yet see.\n\n_ **Beginners are very welcome. If you're already a stitcher, this is an opportunity to experiment with a more intuitive approach and loosen the expectation of perfection.** _\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/10/04/13/39/08/a2fccb1b-511b-4d57-bcdb-9b0bcd8906f4/97ff9f9a-5330-4d64-a714-daec47720b25.jpeg)\n\n## _ **Eco Print** _\n\nEco-printing is a sustainable textile process where natural pigments and plant forms are transferred directly onto fabric using heat.\n\nYou'll work with pre-prepared natural fibres and locally grown and gathered autumn plants to create botanical prints on cloth in a co-creative practice where result is never completely predictable. \n\nYou begin with an intention, but you don't completely control the outcome. The plants, fabric, heat and water all participate, and what emerges, is greater than the sum of what enters. This is pure alchemy, and very addictive. At the end of the workshop you’ll have some beautiful cloth to use in future textile projects, along with guidance for working the whole process at home.\n\n# **Liberate your practice.**\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/10/04/13/43/21/d22483f3-1dd3-4593-af36-2b74999038da/ee2591ee-7d95-4dde-800d-afce3546661a.jpeg)\n\nThis is _an invitation to choose the emerging path hidden beneath the leaves to find your centre. Ceremoniously connect with the land and the season that holds you, reclaiming your natural rhythm as we enter this threshold with the intention to be with what is emerging._\n\n## **What’s included**\n\n- _ **All textile, materials, plants and equipment you'll need for the day** _\n- _A slow stitch beginners’ kit _\n- Ritual cloth to take home— and a new love for the work in progress\n- eco-dyed cloth to use in future Untamed Textile projects\n- A new artful meditation practice for exploring your inner emerging landscape\n- An instructional workbook with seasonal rituals and practice guidance\n- A hearty seasonal vegetarian lunch\n- Herbal and seasonal teas",
