Emerging when the time and tides are correct, seducing or being held captive by human lovers, they are similar to their cousins the ‘kelpies’ and ‘finfolk’. Our composite shape-shifting water siren emerges from her underwater world to ours, casting her spell of seductive and violent dance. Is it love and desire, or appetite and malice? Soon a fleeting wisp, she returns to the aquatic depths, leaving only our quickened pulse and vacant stare.\n\n**AWARD NOMINATIONS:**\n\n★★★★★ BEST SHORT FILM: Buenos Aires International Film Festival\n\n★★★★★ BEST SHORT FILM: Hermetic International Film Festival\n\n### MEET THE DIRECTOR\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/09/23/09/26/50/35d43515-8f94-41b0-a614-a47a53b1fdb4/0dac75d7-71a6-48b0-960c-53482733148c.jpeg)\n\n### **ADAM CARR**\n\n**Adam** is a UK filmmaker and director with over 15 years’ experience creating short films, music promos, fashion films and art-driven moving image.
