"description": "# **Embracing Grief Suport Circle**\n\n#### **With The Embracing Grief Team **\n\n**Co-facilitated by Sarah & Tony Pletts**\n\n# **The Event**\n\n**Opening to life, in a Space where Grief is Welcome.** \nThis session offers the chance to be seen and heard in the presence of a supportive group. With a focus on self-care, respect, and listening with heart, we encourage connecting with ourselves and finding our unique expression.\n\n**‘A 4 Hour Universe’** \nThis 4 hour online grief support circle makes space for emotions away from the busyness of our daily lives. The workshop includes a series of guided exercises gradually moving towards a central Grief Circle, followed by integration. Grief Tending in community is designed to offer support with grief. Being together online can allow us to be comfortable in our own space, so that we can take care of our needs, wherever we may be calling from.\n\n**Finding Support with Life’s Challenges and Grief** \nThis workshop is for you if you long for a space where all of you is welcome. You may be in the flow of grief, or struggling to cope with change, loss, bereavement, trauma, or in need of recovery time. Every grief is valid and unique. Feelings may include anxiety, sadness, rage, depression, emptiness and relief, amongst many others. People may bring challenging themes and strong expressions of emotion.\n\nThis Grief Workshop may not be suitable for those experiencing a severe mental health crisis, or for those feeling particularly unsupported. We're available to discuss this with you if you are unsure whether this event is right for you at the moment, so please don’t hesitate to contact us [HERE](https://www.griefsupport.org.uk/contact/)\n\nTo see more about what happens in a Grief Tending workshop, and the practice of Grief Tending for grief support, there are a series of short animations [HERE](https://www.griefsupport.org.uk/videos/)\n\nIf you have any questions, please email Sarah [welcome@loveandloss.co.uk](mailto:welcome@loveandloss.co.uk)\n\n# **Your Facilitators **\n\n**ABOUT YOUR ** [**EMBRACING GRIEF FACILITATORS **](https://www.griefsupport.org.uk/team/)\n\n**Please note the team may be different on the day, and will include at least 2 Embracing Grief Facilitators**\n\n[**Sarah Pletts**](https://linktr.ee/SarahPletts) (she/her) has spent over 1500 hours facilitating groups exploring grief. She brings an embodied understanding of mortality and consent to the practice of Grief Tending. She has come through chronic illness, been a care-giver, and has a deep connection with the natural world. She is a queer artist-maker who designs experiences that inspire, and creates beauty through ritual ([www.loveandloss.co.uk](http://www.loveandloss.co.uk)). She is a co-founder of Embracing Grief CIC, and co-leads the ‘Apprenticing to Grief’ training with Sophy Banks. She lives in Hackney with partners, chosen family and a rabbit. \n\n**Tony Pletts** founded his art direction and construction company Einstein’s Octopus in 1987, a flexible business that's allowed him to pursue other creative paths. Tony’s made radio programmes for BBC Radio 4 (his North Korean mini series was nominated for a SONY) and has just finished his first book, _Love To The Power Of Three. _Tony is also a trustee for the charity WAYout, a free at the point of use creative ‘University of the Street’ that works with street youth in Sierra Leone. They were able to convey both learning about grief, and experience of ritual where very painful personal experiences could be acknowledged and honoured. The day after the ritual my perception seems changed, people seem more human to me. Thank you!” Anon\n> \n> “What an incredible space that was supportive and unfolded. Sarah and Tony were amazing facilitators and held a delicate balance of boundaries re time keeping in a wise and sensitive manner. It was lovely to witness those who express grief, and shutdown and this space enabled the release of these held positions. Beautiful experience and very much needed in the world right now!” Kim\n> \n> “An incredibly powerful and supportive experience led by Sarah and Tony with such care. Being together with people coming at grief from such different places and perspectives felt like such a wonderfully uplifting thing to do.” Hanna\n\n# **Event Details**\n\nThis event requires a free zoom account which you can set up here: [https://zoom.us ](https://zoom.us/) \n \n\n**AFTER BUYING A TICKET PLEASE COMPLETE ADVANCE INFORMATION FORM.** \n**Exact Zoom link will be sent automatically after receiving your form.
