"description": "# IFS Parts & Psychedelics\n\n### A 4-week Course Guiding the Inner System\n\n### through IFS and Psychedelic Integration\n\n_In Collaboration with_ [_Life Architect_](https://lifearchitect.com/)\n\n## About \n\nThis four-part module series introduces key Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts and how we utilize them in preparation, journey, and integration of psychedelic journeys. \n\nApplying IFS can maximize impact and safety within Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT). \n\nOur time together will be a blend between didactic and experiential exercises giving you time to learn content and practice. \n\nCase stories will enhance concepts and practices of this work. Four four-hour modules will be broken down as follows:\n\n- **Module 1** – Overview of the IFS Model: Basic IFS Principals (85% IFS and 15% PAT) [This is the basis for all other modules.]\n- **Module 2** – Deepening our Inquiry into the Protective System: Protector Fears (both in regular sessions and as relates to journeys) and Reassurances (50% IFS and 50% PAT)\n- **Module 3** – Polarizations, Following the Thread, and Guides and Unattached Burdens (50% IFS and 50% PAT)\n- **Module 4** – The Guide’s Set and Setting – How We Use IFS in Preparation, Journey, and Integration, as well as Integration with Post-Unburdening Maintenance and Neuroplasticity (90% PAT - putting it all together).\n\nThis course is for those who are already facilitating psychedelic journeys, plan to, are facilitating preparation and integration, or have been trained in PAT and planning to offer services. \n\n_Although a background in IFS and facilitation is helpful during this course, it is not mandatory to be a facilitator or working in the field to join. _\n\n### **Learning Objectives:** \n\n- Identify the four goals of IFS\n- Apply basics of IFS in your psychedelic services\n- Identify and distinguish your Self from your parts (and those of your clients)\n- Speak for rather than from your parts and learn why this is important\n\n### **Why Internal Family Systems?** \n\n- In over 80% of psychedelic journeys “parts” come up spontaneously\n- It’s non-pathologizing and non-judgmental\n- Psychedelics can open up the space of “Self”\n- Knowing about your own system begins to provide for safety in the medicine space\n- IFS is evidence-based and the fastest growing modality\n- It provides for deeper transformational healing\n- It’s a methodology that has a solid foundation and has gained incredible interest\n\n## Schedule \n\n4xTuesdays 27th October - 17th November\n\n- Tuesday 27th October 4pm-8pm (GMT) / 8am-12:00pm (PST)\n- Tuesday 3rd November 4pm-8pm (GMT) / 8am-12:00pm (PST)\n- Tuesday 10th November 4pm-8pm (GMT) / 8am-12:00pm (PST)\n- Tuesday 17th November 4pm-8pm (GMT) / 8am-12:00pm (PST)\n\n# Your Facilitator \n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/01/27/13/10/06/88fbe71e-4e88-4a7d-b258-b31481e9b67b/b11cf5f0-469d-4bc6-b2ad-66a86394539f.jpeg)\n\nMichelle Glass is a Certified Level 3 IFS Practitioner, Oregon Licensed Psilocbyin Facilitator, and Alternative Counselor in Eugene, Oregon who has 20 years of IFS experience and has accumulated over 380 hours of direct study with Richard Schwartz, PhD, the founder of IFS. She developed and is the author of the Daily Parts Meditation Practice®: A Journey of Embodied Integration for Clients and Therapists, which has become a valued method of deep embodiment of the IFS Model and healing integration. The DPMP® was trademarked in Spring 2022 and contains six tools of integration which is now also available in both English and Spanish. These tools of integration can also be found within the IFS-inspired app called Sentur. She has given workshops on the DPMP® online and across the globe. \n\nHer focus has shifted to IFS and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. Michelle is currently writing a workbook for psychedelic preparation and integration using the DPMP® tools. A complementary series of IFS-inspired preparation and integration for psychedelic journeys will be available in early 2025 (as well as available within the Sentur app). She offers a 22-Hour Comprehensive IFS Introductory for Psychedelic Facilitators course a few times a year, as well as provides smaller workshops aimed to help IFS-trained professionals better support their clients who are seeking out psychedelics outside of their services. Michelle received a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from Naropa Institute and Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in 2022. In addition, she served as the Editor for OUTLOOK, the Foundation for Self Leadership’s magazine, for seven years. \n\nShe used IFS to heal from a traumatic childhood and is now an enthusiastic Hope Merchant. Michelle wants to help everyone experience that same healing. She takes great pleasure in bringing more Self-energy and Self-leadership to psychedelic facilitators, creating safer medicine spaces. Michelle is honored to have both Dick Schwartz and Gabor Maté as mentors and friends. She is the proud mother and step-mother of three incredible grown children. Outside of her work life, she enjoys regular visits to ocean, gardening, canning and drying garden produce, camping, cooking, listening to podcasts, writing, and time spent with friends and family.\n\n# Life Architect\n\n[**Life Architect**](http://www.lifearchitect.com) is an education and retreat organization dedicated to empowering mental health professionals through immersive, transformative learning experiences.
