"description": "**Constellations in Continuity** \n**A Six-Month Closed Online Family & Systemic Constellations Group**\n\n**A small group of five to six people meeting online once a month for six months.**\n\n**What happens when we stay with the work?**\n\nMost constellation work happens in a single workshop, circle or 1:1 session. \nSomething may become visible. \nSomething may move. \nAnd then we go home.\n\nBut constellation work does not always arrive as one dramatic breakthrough. \nSometimes the movement is slower.\n\nA different response in a relationship. \nA boundary becoming clearer. \nSomething settling. \nA responsibility beginning to feel less ours to carry. \nA pattern becoming easier to recognise.\n\nAnd in a one-off group, we often never discover what happened afterwards.\n\n**Constellations in Continuity is an opportunity to stay with the work.** \nThe same five or six people return each month.\n\nWe hear what has unfolded since the previous meeting. \nWe return to the people whose constellations we witnessed and represented in. \nWe notice what has changed, what has settled, and what may still be moving.\n\nOver time, the group itself also becomes part of the practice. \nHow do we take our place? \nDo we step forward or hold back? \nTake responsibility? \nRescue? \nDisappear? \nFind it easier to support others than to receive support ourselves?\n\nThe ways we participate in a group can sometimes echo how we participate in our families, relationships and other systems. \nReturning to the same people gives us time to become curious about this too.\n\n**Why a closed group?** \nContinuity changes what becomes possible. \nFamiliarity grows. Trust develops. We begin to know one another beyond a single workshop.\n\nEach participant will have the opportunity to bring a personal issue for constellation work during the six months, but the process is not limited to the month in which you are the issue holder.\n\nRepresenting, witnessing, listening to one another and noticing your own responses are all part of the work.\n\nWe can also return to earlier constellations and hear what, if anything, continued to unfold afterwards — for the issue holder and sometimes for the representatives too.\n\nThis is not about repeatedly trying to “fix” ourselves or chasing a big transformational moment. \nIt is about giving systemic work **time, relationship and continuity**.\n\n**How will the group work?** \nThe first meeting will be three hours, giving us time to meet, establish how we want to work together and explore some introductory embodied and systemic exercises.\n\nThe following meetings will be two hours and will usually include:\n\n- grounding or meditation\n- group check-in\n- reflections on what has unfolded since the previous month\n- one constellation\n- representing and witnessing\n- time for reflection and integration\n\nEach participant will be offered one personal constellation during the six months.\n\nYou might bring something connected with family, intimate relationships, work, belonging, grief, repeated patterns, a life transition or something that leaves you feeling stuck.\n\n**But can constellation work really happen online?** \nYes — and this is often the biggest question for people who have only experienced constellations in person.\n\nThe physical space changes, but the fundamental practice remains the same. \nRepresentatives are still invited to notice what happens when they take a particular place: sensations, emotions, impulses, movement, orientation, what they feel drawn towards or away from.\n\nOnline, we may use where someone places themselves in relation to their screen, movement within their own space, objects or other simple ways of mapping the system.\n\nWhat matters is not recreating an in-person workshop on Zoom, but allowing the online environment to become part of the constellation.\n\nFor some people, working from their own home can also bring a different kind of ease and accessibility to the process.\n\n**What are Family & Systemic Constellations?** \nWe are shaped by the families, relationships and wider systems to which we belong.\n\nSometimes experiences within those systems can continue to influence later generations through family patterns, loyalties, relationships and the ways stories and experiences are carried forward.\n\nA constellation creates an experiential map of a situation.\n\nThe person bringing the issue is the **issue holder**. Other participants may be invited to represent people, relationships, roles or other elements within the system.\n\nRepresentatives do not act or perform. They pay attention to what they notice from the place they have been given.\n\nThe intention is not to blame anyone, recreate the past or promise a particular outcome. It is an opportunity to see something from a wider systemic perspective and to notice what may be difficult to understand through thinking and talking alone.\n\n**Who is this for?** \nThis group may suit you if you:\n\n- have experienced constellation work before and would like more continuity\n- are curious about working with the same small group over time\n- want an opportunity both to bring your own issue and to represent for others\n- are interested in the slower unfolding of systemic work, rather than only a one-off experience\n- can commit to attending the six meetings wherever possible\n\nYou do **not** need extensive previous experience.\n\n**Confidentiality** \nThe sessions will not be recorded. \nBecause this is a closed group, everyone is asked to respect the privacy and confidentiality of what other participants share.\n\n**Dates and times** \nMonday 2 November 2026, 6.30–9.30pm \nMonday 14 December 2026, 7–9pm \nMonday 11 January 2027, 7–9pm \nMonday 8 February 2027, 7–9pm \nMonday 8 March 2027, 7–9pm \nMonday 5th April 2027, 7-9pm\n\nAll sessions take place live online via Zoom.\n\n**Group size** \nMinimum five and maximum six participants.\n\n### **Commitment and suitability** This is one six-month circle, not six separate drop-in events.\n\nBy booking, you are committing to the full circle and agreeing to attend all six meetings wherever possible. \nFamily and systemic constellations are experiential. They are not therapy or a replacement for medical or mental-health care. \nIf you are unsure whether the circle is suitable for you, please contact us before booking.\n\n### Participant cancellations: Cancellations made at least 14 days before the first session may be refunded. After this point, a refund can only be offered if your place is filled. Once the circle has begun, no refunds or transfers are available. If the circle does not go ahead, all payments will be refunded in full.\n\n## **About Katie**\n\n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2026/01/03/12/05/14/e3802665-03fe-4951-b37e-5cdc81af50ee/6bf38a4d-14bc-4ee8-b3ff-8a111d5ac1ec.jpeg)\n\n**Katie Despres is a Family & Systemic Constellations Facilitator and Senior Yoga Teacher based in Bristol.**\n\nShe has been working with Family Constellations for more than ten years and has trained extensively with the Centre for Systemic Constellations (CSC), including advanced training in Couples & Intimate Relationship Systems.\n\nHer approach is grounded, relational and embodied, bringing together systemic awareness with many years of yoga and meditation practice.\n\nAlongside her online work, Katie runs regular in-person constellation circles in Bristol and Chepstow, offers 1:1 and couples work, and facilitates workshops and training days.\n\nHer wider work sits under **Relational Practices for Living** — exploring how we are shaped by relationship, body, family, history and the systems we belong to.\n\nYou can join her mailing list for details of future online and Bristol circles, workshops and events here: \n[https://katiedespres.subscribepage.io/](https://katiedespres.subscribepage.io/)\n\nTo find out more about Katie’s work, visit: \n[https://www.katiedespres.com](https://www.katiedespres.com)",
