"description": "## 🌿 NVC Annual Gathering UK & Ireland 2026\n\n**26–29 November | Purley Chase Centre**\n\n## \n\n### Come together\n\nThis gathering exists because NVC cannot be lived in isolation. \nIt takes relationship — and spaces where we are willing to be real, to practice, and to be changed by each other.\n\nAs the team organising this year — Kirstin, Sarah-Jane, Bridget and Angela — \nwe are holding the space and inviting the wider community to shape it with us.\n\nIf Nonviolent Communication is something you are living with others or passing on, \nthis is a place to meet others who are carrying similar questions, responsibilities, and tensions.\n\n* * *\n\n### What this is\n\nA long weekend to:\n\n- reconnect with yourself and others\n- explore what’s alive in you now\n- practice NVC beyond ideas — in real relationship\n- bring attention to what is happening in NVC in the UK & Ireland and in the wider world\n- contribute what you care about\n\nWe will co-create the programme using Open Space Technology. \nThe content comes from us — from what feels most alive, relevant, and needed.\n\nAlongside learning and connection, we are interested in something deeper:\n\nStaying present when things are not smooth. \nAllowing rupture, difference, and not-knowing to be part of the space. \nMaking room for grief — personal and collective — without rushing to resolve or fix.\n\nWe trust that something is built through this: \na quality of connection, reflection, and shared learning that continues beyond the gathering itself.\n\n \n\n* * *\n\n### Who it's for\n\nThis event is for people who are **sharing NVC in the world**.\n\nThat could mean you are:\n\n- offering workshops grounded in NVC\n- bringing NVC into organisations or workplaces\n- holding a regular practice group\n- contributing to community spaces informed by NVC\n- living and applying NVC actively in your relationships\n\nYou might be a certified trainer, long-time trainer, a certification candidate, or someone stepping more fully into sharing.\n\nWe don’t set a fixed threshold — but we do expect that participants have a solid grounding in NVC and some lived experience of practicing it with others.\n\nYou don’t need to arrive in any particular way. \nJust come as you are.\n\n* * *\n\n### The space\n\n📍 **Purley Chase Centre**\n\n[**https://www.purleychasecentre.org.uk/**](https://www.purleychasecentre.org.uk/)\n\nA simple, held environment with:\n\n- shared and private accommodation\n- indoor and outdoor spaces\n- multiple breakout rooms\n- nourishing meals prepared on site\n\n \n\n* * *\n\n \n\n### Cost\n\nSliding scale: **£210 – £550**\n\nWe ask you to contribute at a level that supports both your reality and the sustainability of the gathering. Prices vary depending on accommodation.\n\n- Limited single rooms\n- Day tickets available for Saturday\n\nIf cost is a barrier for you, please reach out to [annualgathering@nvcmatters.org.uk](mailto:annualgathering@nvcmatters.org.uk) to talk about that.\n\n* * *\n\n### Why come\n\nBecause this is one of the places where our community can meet itself.\n\nNot only to connect — \nbut to see more clearly what we are doing, what we are carrying, and what might be emerging.\n\nThere is something we build when we come together like this — \nnot quickly, not always comfortably, and not always visibly.\n\nBut it shapes how we practice, how we teach, and how we show up in the world.\n\n* * *\n\n### Join us\n\nIf something in you responds, we'd value you being part of this.\n\n➡️ Book your place\n\n \n\nWith care, \nKirstin, Sarah-Jane, Bridget & Angela\n\n \n\n* * *\n\n### Cancellations policy\n\n \n\nIf you need to cancel, please let the annual gathering team know as soon as possible.\n\nYou may wish to consider taking out an insurance policy to cover the risk of illness.\n\nIn the event of you cancelling, you may like to offer your place to someone else - there are many people in our network who do not have the funds to attend such an event.\n\nAgreements: \nYou (the participant) understand that, to support the viability of the event running and to honour the extra admin work of the team, we (the annual gathering team) will deduct £25 per person from any refunds that are made due to cancellation up until 6 weeks before the event start date.\n\nIf you cancel between six and three weeks before the event start date, we will deduct £75 admin fee unless we fill your place. If your place is filled we will only deduct the £25 admin charge.\n\nIf you cancel three weeks or less before the event, your fees won't be refunded unless we fill your place. In that instance we will only deduct the £25 admin charge.\n\nNote: \nIf you have (for example) major health issues that you think might prevent you being able to come and you would like to book early to ensure a place, please discuss your situation with us before booking so that we can consider making allowances for you to the above agreements.\n\n \n\n##",
