Hit and Run: Musical Improv® is not just a show—it’s a theatrical adventure where Broadway meets spontaneity. Every week, this dynamic ensemble crafts an hour-long, fully improvised Broadway-style musical, complete with show-stopping songs, razor-sharp dialogue, and captivating storylines—all born from suggestions provided by the audience. There are no scripts, no pre-planned plots—just pure, unscripted magic that unfolds live on stage. Founded in 2006 by Stephen Wilder , the founder of the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse and RISE Comedy, Hit and Run: Musical Improv® has delighted audiences with hundreds of original musicals and delivered thousands of songs created entirely on the spot. The show’s not-so-secret ingredient? A live, in-house Music Director who not only performs but also composes every melody and musical cue in real-time. This musical improv mastery elevates the performance, ensuring each show is a fresh, unpredictable experience where anything can happen. One of the hallmarks of Hit and Run: Musical Improv® is its incredible versatility. One week, you might find yourself immersed in a jazzy 1920s speakeasy spectacle, complete with flapper dresses and swing tunes. The next, you could be transported to a futuristic sci-fi space opera, with characters belting out interstellar ballads. The cast’s ability to seamlessly adapt to any genre or setting keeps the audience on their toes and coming back for more. Whether you’re a musical improv theater enthusiast, a comedy lover, or simply seeking a fun and unique night out, Hit and Run: Musical Improv® promises a high-energy performance brimming with laughter, creativity, and a touch of Broadway razzle-dazzle. Come ready to share your wildest suggestions, and watch as this talented cast transforms them into a brand-new musical masterpiece before your eyes. Discover why Hit and Run: Musical Improv® has become a cornerstone of Denver’s vibrant comedy scene for nearly two decades. It’s the perfect show to see again and again—because, quite literally, you’ll never see the same show twice!", "descriptionLocalized": [ { "facets": [ { "features": [ { "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet#link", "uri": "https://hnrimprov.com/" } ], "index": { "byteEnd": 174, "byteStart": 145 } }, { "features": [ { "$type": "app.bsky.richtext.facet#link", "uri": "https://risecomedy.com/about/" } ], "index": { "byteEnd": 628, "byteStart": 614 } } ], "language": "en", "text": "Colorado’s PREMIER improvised musical comedy team and Denver’s longest-running improv comedy show, now celebrating its incredible 20th year!
