Since we are in the season of Day of the Dead/ Samhain/ All Souls this month’s group will be using Art to explore the relationship between psychedelics, ancestors, death and grief. Join us for a creative celebration of the year's decent into the underworld. **\n\nWe’ve all had extraordinary moments, emotional surges, spiritual flashes, vivid dreams or shifts in consciousness. \n\nThese non-ordinary states tend to expand our sense of ourselves and the world around us. Creativity helps us meet them.\n\nIn this online session, we’ll use simple arts practices to reflect on these experiences, giving them shape, colour, gesture, and story, often beyond what words can hold.\n\n_\"Miranda holds a space where our subconscious can unfurl, where I felt safe to explore the images and make meaning of them that helped me with integrating my psychedelic experiences.\"_\n\n| \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/11/04/12/38/19/9084c6cd-6664-45a7-8d5d-3cc989809567/artwork.jpg)\n | \n![](https://r2.dandelion.events/2025/11/04/12/38/22/fb5bf921-e5be-41bd-af62-8e6112b12bf9/artwork2.jpg)\n |\n\n## What to expect\n\n**A held, creative space** where safety and collaboration come first. So that play, experimentation, and sharing feel genuinely possible.\n\n**Process over perfection.** This isn’t an “art class.” We’re setting judgments aside to follow curiosity and see what the making reveals.\n\n**Integrative Arts Psychotherapy–informed techniques** (not therapy): move themes across drawing, movement, mark-making, image, and text, like turning a crystal and catching new facets of light.\n\n**Meditative drawing & active imagination** to meet inner imagery and learn practical skills for your ongoing creative self-inquiry.\n\nAcross sessions we’ll move through **different themes**. \n\n## Who it’s for\n\nAbsolutely no art experience needed. If you can make a mark, you can join.\n\n## What you'll need\n\nLoose paper/ journal/ sketch book.\n\nWhat ever art materials you have to hand but at least three different coloured pens or pencils.\n\nIf you have them: ( no worries is if not) Colour art materials of your choice, water colours, coloured pencils. ink, oil pastels, pastels, felt pens etc.\n\nAnything that helps you to feel safe, grounded and comfortable, eg. Favourite objects, pictures, blanket, candles.\n\nA place where you won't be disturbed for the session.\n\n## What you’ll take away\n\nWays to explore non-ordinary experiences through art\n\nTools to ground insight and integrate meaning\n\nA renewed sense of play, presence, and possibility\n\n**Come curious. Leave surprised.** \nPeople are often delighted by what emerges when they stop aiming for masterpieces and start listening to the process. \n \n\n_\"Holding a playful space of curiosity and exploration Miranda provided an excellent interactive workshop at Breaking Convention 2025, Europe's largest conference on psychedelic consciousness at the University of Exeter. She provided a wonderful opportunity for delegates to switch from words to pictures and expand their minds with conscious doodling. As well as her clinical therapy practice, she recently trained as a Lucid Dreaming Facillator with Charlie Morley. Dreams are an important part of her own practice, as well as her work with others. She teaches drawing as a meditation and the use of the arts for integrating non-ordinary experiences. One of her favourite things is supporting people as they find and run with their creative spark. \n\nTogether with Trix Robertson, she created Mossy Crow, an ever-expanding realm of art, stories, ceremonies and installations, inspired by nature and the wild imagination. Travelling, both inwardly and outwardly has been a large part of her life, as has living off grid in intentional communities. Festivals, protests and circus have been focal areas of expression although these days her own art centres around finding ways to express mystery, awareness, less conscious layers of experience, and subtle shifting nature. \n\nShe specialises in arts for wellbeing and mental health, teaching and facilitating with diverse groups, sometimes using the outcomes to inform large scale interactive installations and public art commissions, with partners such as National Trust, Corporate Clients, the NHS and European and UK festivals.\n\n[thewondering.co.uk](https://thewondering.co.uk/) \n\n[Facebook @](https://www.facebook.com/thewonderingtherapy/)[thewonderingtherapy](https://www.facebook.com/thewonderingtherapy)\n\n[instagram @thewonderingtherapy](https://www.instagram.com/thewonderingtherapy/) \n \n**Terms and Conditions for the Reflective Arts Integration Circle, Miranda Jones (The Wondering)**\n\n1.
