This will be our second day retreat in Sweden, following week-long retreats in the UK, Portugal, Costa Rica ([Brave Earth](https://www.braveearth.com/)) and France ([Feÿtopia](https://feytopia.com/)).\n\nOur day at Lakefront includes movement and craft, a consideration of wiser approaches to technology, a playful exploration of wholeness, and delicious vegan food. Whether you've joined a Futurecraft event before or this is your first encounter, you're welcome here.\n\n![Four reasons to join us at Emerge Lakefront](https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!kOB9!,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F28b6d968-3bd0-451b-a4ab-a9fa26e89610_1080x770.png)\n\n## Schedule\n\n#### 10.00-10.15 Welcome\n\n#### 10.15-12.00 C **rafting futures through movement** with Laura Gottleib\n\n_Through movement and craft, we'll have the opportunity to explore the futures of our longing, and to reflect on where we are in our own journeys in an instinctual and embodied way._\n\n#### 12.15-13.30 Lunch by Catarina Allen \n\n_A delicious vegan, gluten-free lunch_\n\n#### 13.30-14.30 Wiser approaches to technology with Stephen Reid\n\n_Ask what technology is doing to us and you tend to get one of two answers. Either it's ruining us — our attention, our privacy, our politics — or it's about to save us, if we can just build fast enough. The argument between these two sides often crowds out the questions that actually matter: what kinds of technology, built how, by whom, governed through what mechanisms, in service of what? This session will invite sharing on the impact technology is having on our lives, before exploring wiser alternatives._\n\n#### 14.30-15.00 Fika\n\n_A pause to connect and recharge_\n\n#### 15.00-17.00 Compassion to creation: a playful return to wholeness
with Deniz Liebert\n\n_We live in a world that more than ever asks of us to turn towards. Towards ourselves, and each other. Towards both what is and what could be. In this playful exploration based in authentic relating and liberated self-expression, we tap into the world that could emerge between us when we reclaim our wholeness. When we unleash creative energy from greater safety and love, stop performing for connection - and start performing from it. Come experience the power of community, compassion, and turning towards what we’ve turned away from - together._\n\n## Your hosts\n\n### Stephen Reid\n\n![](https://stephenreid.net/images/me-coast.jpg)\n\nStephen Reid is a technologist and facilitator who has trained in the fields of AI/ML, complexity science, physics, transformative coaching and insight meditation.
