It can be a doorway into deeper awareness, helping us access emotions, sensations and perspectives that often remain beneath the surface of our busy minds.\n\nThrough conscious, intentional breathing, we can begin to move beyond the constant activity of thought and into a more embodied, intuitive state of being.\n\nJoin us for an immersive evening exploring the relationship between breath, body and consciousness.\n\nThrough **conscious connected breathwork** , we'll create space to slow down, turn inward and explore whatever might be waiting to be felt.\n\nYou might encounter emotional release, unexpected insights, a sense of spaciousness, or simply the pleasure of being fully present in your body.\n\nThere is no particular experience to achieve, nothing to force and nowhere you need to get to.\n\nJust an invitation to become curious about your inner world.\n\n## What to expect\n\nWe'll begin by arriving together, grounding ourselves in the space and setting intentions for the evening.\n\nFrom here, you'll be guided through a **40-minute conscious connected breathwork journey** , using a continuous, connected breathing pattern, accompanied by carefully selected music and gentle invitations to explore movement and sensation.\n\nThis practice can bring about shifts in physical sensations, emotions and awareness. For some, it creates an opportunity to process feelings or access new perspectives. For others, it may simply offer a different way of connecting with the body.\n\nAs you settle into the rhythm of your breath, you may begin to notice sensations, emotions or experiences that don't usually have space to emerge in everyday life.\n\nYou'll be encouraged to approach the experience with curiosity, respecting your own boundaries and moving at a pace that feels right for you.\n\n**Integration & Reflection**\n\nFollowing the breathwork, we'll allow time to rest, settle and integrate whatever has emerged during the practice.\n\nThis is an opportunity to simply be with your experience, without needing to analyse, explain or make sense of anything.\n\nWe'll close with time for quiet reflection and optional sharing with the group.\n\nSharing is always an invitation, never an expectation.\n\n## Why conscious connected breathwork?\n\nBreathwork has been used in different traditions as a way of shifting attention, cultivating presence and exploring consciousness.\n\nConscious connected breathing involves breathing in a continuous rhythm, with little or no pause between the inhale and exhale.\n\nThis intentional change in breathing can shift our felt experience, sometimes bringing emotions, physical sensations or new perspectives into awareness that we don't ordinarily notice.\n\nFor some, the practice can feel energising or expansive. For others, it may bring moments of vulnerability, stillness or deep connection with themselves.\n\nRather than trying to create a particular outcome, the invitation is to explore your experience with openness and curiosity.\n\n**You don't need any previous experience with breathwork or meditation to join us.** Whether you're curious about exploring consciousness, seeking some space for reflection or simply wanting to experience something different, you're welcome.\n\n## Event details\n\n**Date:** Friday 4 December 2026\n\n**Time:** 7:00–8:30pm (please arrive by 6:50pm)\n\n**Location:** 2/77th Scout Hut, Egerton Road, Whalley Range, Manchester, M21 0YP\n\nLight refreshments will be provided.
