"description": "Inspired by various freestyle movement and partner dance practices, Moving Connections is a chance to move and be moved, to relax into our bodies and to explore connections through simple exercises that support us to meet and connect without words, in a light and embodied way.\n\nI feel delighted to share that we'll continue our MC journey in what felt like a wonderful new space for us! \nWhittington Park Community Centre is just 8 mins walk from Upper Holloway Station, with easy parking and buses.\n\nEveryone is welcome! There's no skills or experience needed - just an open mind, a little curiosity and the willingness to have a go.\n\n**💜 Schedule:** \nPlease arrive before 7.15pm so we can share the journey together.\n\nWe'll start with a gentle warm up before being guided through a series of simple exercises that invite us to connect with ourselves and others in a heartfelt and curious way.\n\nWe'll then move into a free-flowing space to explore as we choose, before finishing in a circle with time for sharing and then finally some time after that for snuggles and chilling out together if we feel.\n\n**7.00pm :** Doors open - Welcome to arrive! \n**7.15pm :** Opening circle - Introductions and guidelines \n**7.30pm :** Guided exercises and movements in pairs, small groups or alone \n**8.15pm :** Free-flow movement space with live violin! \n**9.15pm :** Closing circle \n**9.30pm :** Time to hang out together \n**9.45pm :** Event Ends\n\n**💜 About Julia** \nJulia's work is inspired by various movement systems such as partner dance, 5 Rhythms, Contact Improvisation and Ecstatic Dance through which she has been developing her own experience and understanding of dance, connection and the power of movement to bring us into the present moment and explore our relationship to ourselves and our world.\n\nJulia has been holding Moving Connections sessions weekly in London since 2019, and she is the creator and manager of Rumble festival, a conscious dance event that combines many different forms of movement and therapeutic practices that enable us to explore our inner and outer worlds in a safe and supportive environment. Julia has also been teaching partner dancing for over 18 years and is the founder of London's Brazilian Forró night, Forró Family.\n\nJulia is passionate about creating community in the simplest and most accessible way, welcoming all that we bring and encouraging authentic and open relating in all its forms.\n\n**💜 Please note:** \nPlease arrive before 7.15pm as it's important we are all present for the complete session. \nWe recommend dancing with bare feet or in flat indoor shoes. \nThere are limited places and we cannot guarantee entry at the door - Book in advance to reserve your place.\n\n**💜 What to bring:** \nComfy clothes that are easy to move in, including a few layers in case you get hot/cold. \nWater bottle - we can refill water in the venue.\n\n**💜 IMPORTANT** \nThis event is alcohol, smoke and drug free. Thank-you for your care to hold this safe space together. \nPlease respect everyone's choice for physical contact or connection. We are all free to choose with who, when and how we'd like to connect and we ask everyone to listen carefully and trust each other to say \"no\". We appreciate a \"no\" as a gift of honesty and self-care. Thank-you for being you and for being brave and showing up!\n\n**💜 Lower priced tickets** \nWe can offer a few lower-priced tickets for those who are not in a position to afford the Standard price. Please get in touch if you'd like more info on those. Thanks so much.\n\n**💜 Crew!** \nWe offer a free event to our invaluable crew who offer 3 x 30mins to help set up from 6pm and pack down at 9.30pm - Please let us know if you're interested in joining our crew!\n\nTickets are non-refundable as we are limited on numbers and cannot always resell tickets at short notice.",
