"description": "Where’s the party? Join us at the most social party during DDW 2026 – both offline and online. Marking the soft launch of oso.social, a platform that gives everyone access to open social media, we will celebrate being connected and put artists on stage who were previously banned by Meta. \n\nEveryone’s welcome! At the Open Socials Social Club, we’ll be making connections, casting our lines wide, and socialising as much as we can. \n\nWith performances by Striptopia, Zobayda, Pelanoir, Gioray, Alles Exploding and more.\nUnbanned, onto the stage \n\nEarlier this year, Meta censored many queer and feminist organisations. Groups such as Striptopia lost their platform, followers and content overnight. Without warning, without apology. At the Open Socials Social Club, it is precisely these groups who will be taking to the stage! \noso = open \n\nThe moment is here to leave Meta’s social media and other big tech behind us. Waag is working on a new platform that gives everyone access to open social media: oso.social. Here you can post, follow, share and stay up to date with the latest news and events. But here, you’re in control. You decide what you see, and your data belongs to you. Want to find out more and be the first to claim your handle later? Visit oso.social. \nAbout Dutch Design Week\n\nDutch Design Week (DDW) is the annual event showcasing the best of Dutch design. DDW 2026 will take place from 17 to 25 October. You can find the full programme here.\n\nYou don’t need a DDW ticket for entrance the Open Socials Social Club.",
